Do you have information about my son's murder and need the FBI contact information:
If you have any information about my son’s murderer, please call FBI Agent Andy Drewer at 207–774–9322
If anyone contacts you saying 146 Portland Ave, Old Orchard Beach, is for sale, know that they are lying to you... it is my land, and it has been in my family since 1531... and the ONLY person whom has EVER gone around saying it is for sale, is a woman who the FBI believes to be the same woman who murdered my son.
My son is buried here, and the FBI believes she is trying to buy my land in order to destroy his grave and destroy evidence of his murder.
Since my son's murder November 14, 2013, every year dozens of real estate agent show up all with a story of a female developer who is offering them MILLIONS of dollars for my lot of land that is only 1/4 of an acre and is not big enough to develop.
When shown police sketches of my son's murderer, the real estate agents say "Yes, that's the woman who hired me to buy 146 Portland Ave, Old Orchard Beach, Maine", but then the woman disappears and the real estate agents never hear from her again... all contact information she gave them turns out to be fake.
The woman who murdered my son, is DESPERATELY trying to buy 146 Portland Ave, Old Orchard Beach, Maine... this is the woman to watch out for... and this is what she did:

If you are a hater, you can go fuck yourself.
Racist bigots like you MURDERED MY SON... they beat his 8 month old brains out with a golf club.
Racist bigots like you DROVE A BACKHOE OVER MY HOUSE... while I was 5 months pregnant.

Racist bigots like you BROKE MY SPINE AND PUT ME IN A WHEELCHAIR... broke my spine with a golf club while accusing me of being "a transvestite", while screaming "kill or be killed, kill all the trannies", while calling me "a man in a dress", WHILE, I a cis female, was 8 months pregnant!
So FUCK ALL OF YOU transphobic, gay hating bastards. Burn in Hell where shit like you belongs, and stay the fuck away from me and my family, you fucking pieces of filth!
I'm sick of MUFON nuts showing up in my yard calling me an alien abductee and claiming my friend is an alien EBE. WTF? Who the hell started this rumor and why do people keep believing it and harassing my family over it?
crazy reddit people have latched on to some weird slander and then hunted down my home address to harass my family in person and I don't know how to stop them. They have absolutely destroyed my life... and I haven't got a clue why they are even doing it to begin with!
this has been happening to my family for well over a decade now, and it is STILL happening right now in May 2026, and I am sick of it , and I don't know who started it or why... but it's really easy to find podcasts on spotify and youtube, and threads here on Reddit, that will tell you my car is "the world most haunted car" and feed you bull shit about me being an alien abductee, or telling you I was in Stephen King movies... really wild, and stupid people see that malicious slanderous bullshit and think it's real, then show up at my house, because those videos put my home address in them.
These people are out of control and when I say out of control, I mean my son Xavier is dead, i am crippled and people are AGAIN right now this week, showing up calling my Dodge "haunted", calling my friend "an alien", calling me "transgender", spreading wild defamation slander connecting me to Stephen King. I need to start taking down the contact information of every blogger, podcaster, youtuber, and social media account spreading these rumors, and sue every one of them for CAUSING my car to be cut in half May 10, 2010, for CAUSING the backhoe that drove over my house August 8, 2013, for CAUSING my son's murder November 14, 2013, for CAUSING me to be crippled and in a wheelchair November 14, 2013, and for CONTINUING to CAUSE harassers to show up in person to harass me near daily, STILL now in 2026.
EVERYONE saying my car is haunted, saying my friend is an alien, calling my car "the goldeneagle", calling my friend "Etiole", or trying to connect me or my car to Stephen King, is lying to you.
I mean, who in their right mind even believes in haunted cars to begin with?
Who in their right mind even believes in aliens or ufos?
Who in their right mind believes a car is haunted, so they cut the car in half, then drive a backhoe over the house its at because they think an 8 month pregnant woman is a transgender man wearing a dress? Then beats her up with a golf club, severed her spine, rips her baby out of her belly and bashes his head in with a golf club... who in their right mind does things like this?
They crippled me when I was 8 months pregnant, a woman with a golf club, severed my spine and bashed my baby's head in, I spent 9 years relearning to walk, and the FBI is 13 years into the murder investigation and not yet id-ed the attacker who crippled me and killed my baby, both violently with a golf club.
buglight lighthouse is the lighthouse on the college campus.
buglight lighthouse, (near Spring Point Lighthouse, both at Prebble Fort around the corner from Portland HeadLight Lighthouse), that is where my 8 month son was murdered November 14, 2013, same day i became paralized by the woman with a golf club. FBI investigation has been going 13 years now and they still have not identified her.
I had only 1 semester left at SMCC, but I've been paralyzed since the attack and not yet recovered enough to return to finish college.
I've always found it strange why was it never in the news what happened to me on campus? I was in Hillary's class at the buglight art study, there by the lighthouse, helping Hillary put the art stuff away.
I went out the big glass door, on the beach side, right beside the lighthouse, where my Volo was parked in the first spot, and the woman with the golf club had been hiding behind my car, jumped out and attacked. I was 8 months pregnant, she severed my spinal column, broke 3 vertebrae, forced early labour, and then killed my baby with the golf club too.
I had no use of my arms or legs for 9 years, and started relearning to walk in 2021 after 9 years paralyzed.
today in 2026, I have regained use of two fingers on my right hand, and have gained enough leg strength to push my wheelchair around the block like a rollator a couple times a week, but its been 13 years and I've not yet recovered enough to return to college and finish my last semester.
FBI believes it is friends/family of the woman who did it, who are the ones started and spreading the rumors saying my car is haunted, saying I'm an alien abductee, saying all kinds of similar bull shit about aliens, ufos, ghosts, witchcraft, demons, and Stephen King connections, even though I don't believe in ghosts, aliens, ufos, demons, and had never heard of Stephen King before 30k of his fans showed up in my yard trying to find my car!
FBI believes the backhoe driver and murderer are same person and that it is a developer who wanted my land, so started the Stephen King, ghost, and alien rumors all in an attempt to drive me off my land, but when it didn't work they drove a backhoe over my house, but when that didn't work they crippled me and killed my son.
And I don't even know why.
Why are they doing this?
How do I get them to stop?
And who? Who is behind this? I don't even know who the people behind it are!
If you have ever mocked my son's murder, know that only an evil person thinks mocking a baby's murder is funny, and YOU are evil. You who mock the murder of a child, you are vile. If you mock the murder of other people's children, then you certainly are not fit to be raising any children of your own. And if I find out YOU mocked my son's murder and you have a child, rest assuered I AM and probably ALREADY HAVE reported you to Child Protective Services. No fit parents
If you have ever mocked my WW2 homeless vet friend and called him an alien or demon, leading to his currentt crippled state after being gunned down by a mob of ufo nuts on November 24, 2021 in Biddeford, Maine, know that only an evil person thinks calling elderly men aliens and demons is a good time. You who call a crippled homeless man an alien, you are dispecable.
If you have ever mocked the fact that a backhoe drove over my house leaving me homeless for now 13 years... then I sincerly hope and pray that you become homeless in just a violent a manner as I did, that you may experiance for yourself the things you mock, and learn to never mock them again. Only evil people drive backhoes over houses and only evil people support them in their actuions. You who think
You are an evil, hateful person, and one day you will look back at the things you have done and realize just how evil you really are.
If you ever called my car haunted, if you ever called me a believer of aliens/ufos, if you ever in any way slandered me with alien, ufo, demon, ghosts, haunting, paranormal, or Stephen King bull shit, rest assured I DO hate YOU and YOU personally.
Happy 2026!
It is our 30th anniversary here at Space Dock 13!
On the web since 1996!
You have encountered an extremely old website that continues to exist in old web ways, the same way it has done for now three decades.
In spite of being now 30 years old this year, started in 1996, it is still heavily active and old pages updated daily, new pages added daily, still now in 2026. All hand written, all hand coded (no AI), all by me, same as it ever was.
We Still Exist: The Old Web Did Not Go Away, You Just Forgot How To Find Us
|
This site was NOT designed for mobile devices (as they had not been invented yet when I created it) thus this site looks best on a computer, at 1280x768 or above. |
This is a very old website created in 1996, so, yes, javascript is needed for the site to work as it should. If things don't function, you may need to update javascript drivers on your device |
This site tries to be mobile friendly but it's been online since 1996, so old pages may not load right on mobile devices, and as this site has had pages added near daily for 30 years there are now over 20k pages here. |
Having started out in life as a GeoCities site, this site contains glitter, bright colours, blinkies, moving gifs, and other things the old web was known for. |

~oO0~ Twighlight Manor series 35th anniversary rewrite of the original

This story was written as part of NaNoWriMo 2025/NovNov 2025
(The goal is 1,667 words a day or 50k words in 30 days)
Note: Many of these stories were published with much longer word counts then listed here. The word counts listed here are the 1st draft word counts which were counted towards National Novel Writing Month; however throughout December onwards, these stories were edited, rewritten, and expanded, resulting in the published stories having more words; for example, something listed here as having 1,234 words, might have 5,678 words when published.)
This set includes the following stories:

Everything on this list was written using: The Park Bench Method of Writing
Additional stuff written from November 2025:
For those unaware: November is National Novel Writing Month, and traditionally, writers set aside the month to write 50k words in 30 days (which is 1,667 words a day for 30 days) towards a fiction novel draft.
While the month is "novel writing month" (the month to write a fiction novel) writers of non-fiction and fiction formats other then novels also join the fun.
There are many companies who hosts writing challenges and writing competitions, that you can join, or you can just do it on your own.
Every year since 2004 I personally set aside the month of November to write 200k words in 30 days instead of 50k (so 6,666 words a day instead of 1,667). I've reached that goal for 23 out of 25 years. 2025 is my 26th year doing it.
If you'd like to join one of the online groups, just do a Google/Bing/ChatGPT search for "novel writing month writing challenges" and you'll quickly find dozens going on. There's bound to be one that's right for you.
For 2025 I will be tracking my progress via ProWritingAid's NovNov (Novel November).

What is the series about?
It's three god-level, planet destroying, alien invader Space Elf, Space Faerie, Space Demon megalomaniac super villain bumbling wizards, and their ship's crew (The UnSeelie Court) with big global domination plans, whom have invaded 40th century Earth, settled in a lighthouse in Maine, started a zombie apocalypse, are hellbent on destroying all Humans and taking over the planet, but are never getting anything done because they are too busy throwing temper tantrums, having hissy fits, and flinging food, sea slugs, insults, and sexual tension at each other, to ever get around to destroying the planet.
It's slice-of-life survival horror in a post-apocalyptic necromantic dictatorship, told through dysfunctional domestic intimacy between soul-stealing villains who rule the world. Welcome to the spiralling madness of Quaraun’s eldritch, sensory-heavy, character-driven, neurotic, dysfunctional, intimate, sugar-dusted Fae-punk world. This is the hostile, dystopian, necromantic, and hyper-sensory domestic horror of Quaraun’s everyday life with BoomFuzzy (and sometimes GhoulSpawn), in a grim world ruled by undead Faerie warlords where society has collapsed and survival is brutal, intimate, and corrupt, and Humans are often on the menu of UnSeelie Court feasts.

The Pink Necromancer, Thullid Infested Moon Elf silk weaver, travelling merchant, & Royal Court Mage of The UnSeelie Court: Quaraun Swanzen on Noodle Beach. With his unhinged temper, his 12 foot long prehensile, venomous jellyfish tentacle hair, his deadly laser wand, and his inability to stay sober long enough to cast a spell properly, he is the most feared being in the known universe. Quaraun is literally a Space JellyFish (A Thullid) whom has taken control of the corpse of a dead Elf.
In the year 2525, a comet struck the Moon. Now, in 40th century Maine, Earth is frozen, the Moon is fractured, and UnDead Lobsters are a serious problem. And then there's Quaraun: The Pink Necromancer. Most feared super villain on Earth. Possibly the galaxy. Maybe ever. But all he wants is tea, silk embroidery, and a calm evening in his lighthouse.
- IMAGE 2:
Master Chef Phooka turned Lich King of The UnSeelie Court: King Gwallmaiic aka BoomFuzzy the Unicorn with his 1968 VW Bus Beach Noodle Food Truck. He is king of the entire fucking planet. Defy him and he'll serve you as the main course of the next UnSeelie Court feast. The world's only known Unicorn, in his true form he is a tiny lilac coloured Shetland Pony with a gleaming silver horn. In his Lich form he is a blue crystal skeleton of a Friesian stallion.
BoomFuzzy, the Unicorn Lich King of the UnSeelie Court, is Quaraun's dead husband. Technically dead. Officially terrifying. Unofficially the best baker left in the apocalypse.
- IMAGE 3:
The Satyr-like, mad scientist Sheep Demon: Gremorse Liore aka GhoulSpawn with his 1974 AMC Gremlin time machine. He is Quaraun's apprentice, and fast becoming the most powerful wizard in the universe.
GhoulSpawn, their brilliant, baffled companion, fell through time from 1978 and never found the way home. Now he juggles tech repairs, running from zombies, and being madly in love with the two most dangerous men of the apocalypse.
- Art by Wendy Christine Allen.
- Not seen here:
Toobe: a deceptively innocent looking tiny flying silver metal orb that hoovers around GhoulSpawn, giving science reports and scanning for dangers, Toobe is a sadistically insane sentient AI from thirteen thousand years in the future, who is the real brains behind the plot of global domination.

I don't exactly stick to one genre and I'm constantly experimenting with new genres and new writing styles. If you don't know the meanings of any of those genres, Google can help you, I should probably make a page defining each, I might do that in the future. 🦄🌸 - -not all genres appear in every story. 𓂃 ࣪˖ ִֶָ🐇. ་༘࿐˙⋆.
🌸🦄🌸LITERARY FICTION WARNING: This entire series is Character Driven Slice of Life Vignette Literary Fiction, regardless of what genre each individual story within it may be; meaning there's a lot of dialogue, a lot of talking, a lot of thinking, a lot of monologue, a lot of characters having existential crisis, and a lot of emotional introspective, but not much action or plot going on in this heavily character driven series, that focuses largely on three non-Human bumbling wizard super villains and their often ridiculous attempts to take over Humanity.
Each story is a narrow focused look at a single event (often a single day or usually just a single sliver of a single hour) in Quaraun's life.
This content warning has been added because for some reason, more than 1,000 readers have contacted me to suggest I add it because they said they would have bought nothing in the series had they known ahead of time this was LITERARY Fantasy and not generic Fantasy.
*shrug*
I don't see the need for this content warning, but, whatever. Here it is.
Character driven fiction is highly uncommon in the fiction world, readers who are used to reading fast paced, plot driven stories WILL find their panties in a twist, if they never encountered slow moving, plotless fiction before.
This is Character driven Slice of Life fiction and does not follow the Western publishing norms of either plots or 3 act structures (beginning/middle/end).
I use the Japanese 4 act structure (aka kishōtenketsu - Introduction/Development/Twist/Conclusion), which does not start at the beginning and is left open ended without clear resolutions.
It's kind of a sometimes Cozy, sometimes semi-Erotic, sometimes borderline spatter punk gorn, usually deranged bickering lover's spat Fae-punk horror series about Quaraun, a fragile, volatile autistic necromancer, and his hypersexual undead pastry chef lover surviving a frozen post-apocalypse. An autistic necromancer battles inner chaos, eldritch threats, and love in this tender, darkly whimsical cozy fantasy on an ice age planet. A genderfluid Moon Elf necromancer and his undead Fae lover navigate grief, magic, and quiet apocalypse in a queer gothic fantasy world ruled by Fae. It's weird. Venomous jellyfish hair. Gingerbread swords. Sweet cuddles jutixpointed against fire, blood, magic, and venom. Undead lobsters. Undead moose. Psychotic evil Elves. Welcome to the gentle madness of Quaraun’s eldritch, sensory-heavy, character-driven, neurotic, dysfunctional, intimate, sugar-dusted Fae-punk world. A soft-spoken necromancer drifts through frozen forests, haunted kitchens, and forgotten spells in a quiet saga of grief, love, and magic. After the fall of the Human world, a fragile Elven mage clings to love and ritual in a world of snow, silence, undead moose, and pink silk curses. Fae-punk, cozy horror, autistic protagonist, queer necromancer, UnSeelie Court—Quaraun's magical survival story unfolds in icy solitude. Fucked-up sensuality with claws, in a world where roses bite and dust bunnies kill, Quaraun—the broken Elfin necromancer—shelters with his ghostly Fae lover and sentient kitchen. But raw, damaged, obsessed, unstable beings in a hostile world where civilization has been erased, not rebuilding. BoomFuzzy who kills over a miscooked mushroom and Quaraun who rants for 2 pages about the word 'insane' and why he isn't. All are domestic, darkly romantic, usually set in the lighthouse or food truck, from Quaraun’s POV. Quaraun is neurotic, obsessive, and overwhelmed. I write a TransMan main character, who has 2 husbands (who are the 2 primary support characters); so it’s a Gay throuple, but the genre is not Romance and Romance is not the plot (they have been married for decades, and are elderly, established throuple).
The setting is a zombie apocalypse (kind of like The Walking Dead), but the genre is more Domestic Slice of Life (like Little House on the Prairie, but in a zombie apocalypse), about the everyday domestic life of this family (the transman and his 2 husbands) just trying to live a normal life during the zombie apocalypse.
The world is extremely ruined as a comet hit the moon first, causing a nuclear winter, and it was fragments of the comet that caused the dead to rise up from graveyards, so world got hit with a double whammy of two apocalypses back to back.
Not sure what genre to call it. It belongs in LGBTQAI+ and Dystopian, but also Family Drama or Slice of Life.
Might be classified as Dark Fantasy? Because the main character (Quaraun aka The Pink Necromancer) is a Moon Elf necromancer and his primary husband (King Gwallmaiic aka BoomFuzzy the Unicorn) is the King of the UnSeelie Court (aka he's a Faerie aka a Phooka specifically, aka a shapeshifter who likes to take the form of a Unicorn), while his secondary husband (GhoulSpawn) is a Sheep Demon (basically a Satyr but his lower half is a sheep instead of a goat).
It fits in SciFi. MC is an Elf necromancer, so, Fantasy-ish, but the setting is 40th Century Maine, during a nuclear winter, after a comet hit the moon and debri blocked out the sun, and comet dust that landed on graveyards caused dead to rise as zombies; the MC (Elf necromancer) is a lighthouse keeper, his husband (who is also King of the UnSeelie Court) is also a chef who owns several restaurants and primarily works out of a food truck.
The food truck drives itself via AI cyber-tech; an AI overload (a minor background character) has seized control of Earth's satellites so has full control of the world's electronic; but the world setting itself is basically The Walking Dead in endless winter, after a cyberpunk society collapsed into ruins because a comet hit the moon.
It's got a Fantasy slant. Moon Elf Necromancer with deadly twelve foot long JellyFish tentacle "Rapunzel hair" is the main character, his husband is a Lich Unicorn who rules The realm of Fae aka is King of The UnSeelie Court. Their live-in lover is a Demon with digitigrade sheep legs, cloven hooves, and big ram horns.
I’m not sure if my series would fit in Romantasy genre or not. It’s a Gay Throuple living in a cyberpunk 40th century Maine, after a zombie apocalypse has destroyed earth. The trio has been married for decades and now elderly, so there is no “seeking love” or “young love” or “trying to get the other’s attention” type of plot such as is standard for Romance the genre. And the setting is a dystopian far future of real Earth, so not standard Fantasy genre either.
But the reason I’m thinking maybe Romantasy MIGHT be a good possible fit, is because:
1: the main character is an Elf wizard/necromancer who is court mage of The UnSeelie Court. He is married to a Faerie who is King of The UnSeelie Court. And their third is a Demon who is apprentice to the court mage. Plus the court mage (main character) has a pet dragon.
…and…
2: the plot line follows their domestic family life, as they try to live a normal family life, while also ruling the Realm of Fae and surviving a zombie apocalypse, with most of the plot focus being on how these things impact their (romantic) relationship with each other.
I think Cozy Fantasy would be a more accurate and better fit then Romantasy as it doesn't exactly neatly fit in and falls more into a quasi-subgenre of Romantasy then being true Romantasy itself.
I feel like the correct genre is Slice of Life Gothic Cozy Fantasy MPreg Yaoi.
MPreg Yaoi means, in terms of my series, that it's a gay trio, but one of the three is transgender (a woman living as a man, aka a transman) and so is sometimes pregnant by the other two. Many stories in the series are heavily focused on the struggles Quaraun has when he is heavily pregnant but trying to hide from the public that he is a cis-woman living as a man, giving the series a strong transgender focus.
Its the hostile, dystopian, domestic horror of Quaraun’s everyday life with BoomFuzzy (and sometimes GhoulSpawn), in a grim world ruled by undead Faerie warlords where society has collapsed and survival is brutal, intimate, and corrupt, and Humans are often on the menu of UnSeelie Court feasts.
I use Kishōtenketsu writing/plotting format/style.
The problem is, I'm hesitant to actually call it Cozy Fantasy, because when I hear "Cozy Fantasy" I always thought the definition of COZY was the fact that there was ZERO violence and the story ONLY had good vibes.
But at the same time places like the Cozy Fantasy subreddit, make me think I'm a bit out of the loop, on what Cozy Fantasy can be... see, that sub on Reddit is used primarily by readers who ask for requests of Cozy Fantasy to read. But the #1 request is: "Can you recommend Cozy Fantasy without sexual violence, sexual assault, or rape scenes?"
Uhm... wait, what?
But I thought the definition of COZY was the fact that there was ZERO violence and the story ONLY had good vibes. But people are asking daily, throughout the day, multiple times a day, to the point of dozens of readers asking daily "Please can I just have Cozy Fantasy that has no rape, sexual assault, or sexual violence in it?".
The request for Cozy that is without SA/SV, is so common in fact, I'm seeing the add on of "no SA/SV please" be the norm lately.
Are there actual books being advertised as Cozy Fantasy that have SA/SV in them? I've not personally found one yet, but I'm pretty sure if I did I give it a 1 star review and call it out for false advertising and being a click bait/bait and switch title that just called itself Cozy to get sales and wasn't actual Cozy.
I don't know, I guess I just find it rather upsetting that SA/SV has become so commonplace in Cozy Fantasy that everyone has to outright specify they are seeking Cozy minus SA/SV.
Buuuuut, that does make me wonder, should my Quaraun books be listed as Cozy Fantasy?
The short stories are 100% devoid of sex or violence and focus on the cozy domestic life of Quaraun and BoomFuzzy trying to live together, despite being two polar opposites in nearly everything.
But the novels? The novels are vastly different from the short stories. The five novels on Amazon contain 16 sex scene, multiple sexual assault scenes, and are very violent, brutal, and focus heavily on a drunk abusive BoomFuzzy beating the shit out of frail, disabled lover Quaraun, on a nearly daily basis, to the point of beating Quaraun into a coma in the novel "GhoulSpawn and The Lich Lord's Lover".
I mean, chapter one of volume one (the novel BoomFuzzy) DOES start right off with a very violent, graphic rape scene, a scene which is used to reveal to the reader right from the start, that Quaraun is intersex, having both a vagina and a penis and scrotum. Its the scene of how Quaraun and BoomFuzzy meet. Yes. They meet because BoomFuzzy attacks Quaraun on the road, beats the shit out of Quaraun, and almost rapes Quaraun, but then is so surprised to find Quaraun to be intersex, and BoomFuzzy's not knowing how to respond to this, causes enough of a pause, to give Quaraun a chance to kick BoomFuzzy in the face, break BoomFuzzy's nose, and allowing Quaraun to get away, run off, before the rape itself actually happens.
That is literally how the series opens up, it's the first thing readers see.
In volume 2, "The Night of the Screaming Unicorn" the entire 500+ page novel is one none stop sexual assault, with readers describing the book in reviews as "overly rapey", when Quaraun finds himself once again caught in one of BoomFuzzy's traps, but Quaraun doesn't immediately recognize that this is BoomFuzzy, so BoomFuzzy takes advantage of this lack of recognition to haul Quaraun off to the tavern's bedroom, tie him to the bed, and do pretty much everything except rape Quaraun. The novel ending with a very violent sex scene that is questionable consent.
The above mentioned beating that put Quaraun in a coma, is the turning point where you see BoomFuzzy scared shitless of his own violence, and BoomFuzzy does a full swing in character, giving up drinking, and becoming an over the top doting, caring, loving husband who tries very hard to never raise a hand or even his voice to Quaraun again. While the novels saw BoomFuzzy as very abusive to Quaraun, the short stories see BoomFuzzy redirecting his anger away from Quaraun, often towards the local police department with comedy results.
From there the rest of the series is largely Cozy Fantasy fully devoid of any sex or violence.
And, while the BULK of the series falls squarely into Cozy Fantasy, it does start off very violent, very sexual, very rapey, and full of domestic abuse. And I have always felt that this wild heavy hitting start, caused the series to NOT be classified as Cozy Fantasy, thus I've always listed it as Dark Fantasy or Dark Romance.
This think the thing is that the novels need to be classified as as Dark Romantasy, while the short stories have to be classified as Cozy Fantasy.
I would say too, that if you want to avoid the sexual assault and domestic violence themes, just avoid all of the novels and read only the short stories.
But then with so many Cozy Fantasy forums having a trend of people looking for Cozy Fantasy without rape, without sexual assault, without domestic violence... perhaps I was wrong to think this excluded the novels from being Cozy Fantasy? I really just don't know. Personally I would not call the novels Cozy, but I would call the short stories Cozy.
Interestingly however, in November 2025, I asked a (supposedly professional consultant who was offering to do a free "What's your genre" read through during National Novel writing Month) if they would read some of the already published books in my series and tell me what genre did they think fit best, and the result was... uhm... something I had never once thought of at all.
They read, (or so they said) all 22 of the paperback volumes that are available on Amazon, and then wrote up a 10 page report, of their findings. And their findings blew me away, because:
It turns out my series is:
...according to them...
My series is what they defined as:
They said that first and foremost my series is Comedy and should be sold as Comedy, and that the sub genreas are:
They pointed out that:
They said my series most closely matching with:
or
They said people who are fans of Monty Python are my primary target reader audience.
They said readers who want more of Terry Pratchett's DiscWorld will be addicted to my series.
They said the reason I struggled to classify it, was because it has elements of Romance, elements of Cozy, elements of Fantasy, elements of SciFi, elements of Horror, but not enough of any one to firmly place it in any of those.
They said, however, what it does have is nonstop back to back comedy, tongue in cheek satire, and endless off the wall Monty Python meets Terry Pratchett's DiscWorld vibes.
Well, okay... the only problem with that is, I have no clue anything about either Monty Python or Terry Pratchett DiscWorld! So I am unable to say yes or no, to if my series is or is not like Monty Python and/or Discworld. What is Monty Python? It is like my series? I don't know. What is DiscWorld? Is it like my series? Again, I have no clue, I simply do not know either Monty Python of DiscWorld.
I guess that means I should had watching Monty Python and reading DiscWorld to my list of things to do, so I can find out if this assessment is correct or not.
The problem is, I have Autism and i do not possess an ability to understand comedy, humor, jokes, etc. I do not know how to tell if a thing is funny or not. I struggle to understand the concept of laughing and have not yet figured out how to teach myself how to laugh, nor do I understand why others laugh or how to tell when I should or should not laugh...
...sooo, there is no point at which I have ever gone out of my way write anything even remotely funny at all.
If there is humor in my series, I'm afraid I can not see it and did not put it there on purpose.
I have never read comedy, never watched comedy, as far as I am aware, but, as I lack the brain function required to process funny things, I'm not sure if I would recognize comedy if I did read or see it.
So the fact that the end assessment of my series was that it is unequivocally and without question comedy on over the top levels of hilarity (their words, not mine) has led me to be vastly confused, because I simple can not see what it is that is funny about anything I write and I don't understand where it is they found comedy in my series.
But apparently the professional assessment is that my series is Comedy that is hilariously funny, even though I never set out to write comedy and can not figure out what it is they found to be hilarious or funny in my work.
So apparently I write things that non Autistic people find to be very funny and hink is deliberate comedy, and I don't know how to feel about that. I feel like I should be highly offended by people thinking my series is something funny to laugh at, when to my mind it quite serious and there is absolutely nothing funny about it at all. I don't know if I should be sad that people laugh at it or glad that people like it because it is funny. The problem is I just don't know what it is about my books that people find to be funny or why it is they think I was writing deliberate comedy.
While this genre assessment helped me to see how others see my work, it raised more questions then it answered, because I am left to wonder why others see my work the way they do; and with my own inability to see anything funny about what I wrote, I am left not knowing why people laugh or how to repeat writing more of what makes them laugh.
It’s a part of a series that already has a bunch of volumes (138 novels, 432 novellas, 500+ poems, 3k+ short stories) published since the series started in 1978 (50th anniversary is in 2028 just 3 years away).
The bulk of the series is free to read online.
(This website has been online since 1996 and houses 20k pages of the series, uploaded to the archive during the 28 years I’ve been maintaining the site, that’s MOST of the novels, novellas, and short stories of the series. This page is an index with everything listed in alphabetical order.)
A few volumes (22 of them currently) are also on Amazon as ebooks, paperbacks, and hardcover editions as well. Link to stuff on Amazon https://amzn.to/4hjwKk2
Most stuff before 2014 was traditionally published, everything after 2014 was self published. Most of the traditionally published print edition stuff from the 1970s, 1980s, and 1990s is out of print and I don’t know where you could get copies.
Since 1978, I have published 138 novels, 423 novellas, 500+ poems, and 3,000+ short stories all for a single series, that readers have dubbed "The Twighlight Manor series", "The Pink Necromancer series", or "The Quaraun series" depending on which reader you ask, but is actually titled "The Adventures of Quaraun the Insane".
And yes, that number is correct, there ARE over FOUR THOUSAND published stories in the series, and in total more then TEN MILLION copies have been sold, but that number is not as "big" as it sounds, when you consider that 10,000,00/4,000 = 2,500... meaning MOST titles in the series have sold FEWER then just TWO THOUSAND copies.
Yeah.
It is NOT ten million copies of a single title. It's a lot of titles selling only a few hundred copies per title.
Meaning, that while the series in total has sold more copies then many New York Times bestsellers, each title individually has sold so few copies that chances are really high you've never heard of the series at all, especially considering that nearly 27k (twenty seven thousand) of the series most die hard fans/readers live fewer then just FOURTEEN MILES away from me, I've meet MOST of them face to face, and over 80% of the volumes sold were sold locally at festivals like La Kermesse, Moxie Festival, Oxford Fair, Saco Farmer's Market, and Yarmouth Clam festival, with only twenty two of the over four thousand volumes ever been made available online or as ebooks, and those 22 being the only volumes to been issued ISNBs.
If you live outside of a seven mile radius of Old Orchard Beach, Saco, Biddeford, Sanford, or Scarborough, Maine, you likely have never heard of me or my books at all, because I do not sell them any where else.
I think too, it is probably important to make the distinction that the novels are NOT the primary story, and in fact, you can read the series WITHOUT reading the novels.
I say this because I have learned that in recent years, new readers seem to think the series is the novels and that the short stories are supplements to the novels, and that... well, that is just simply incorrect on so many levels. Because the novels were created recently to supplement the series.
The novels were created for the 35 anniversary of the series.
Let that sink in for a minute.
The series was 35 years old before the first novel was released.
The series started in 1978. The first story was a 16 page long short story, called Friends Are Forever.
Between 1978 and 1987 it was the ONLY story longer then 10 pages long. Between 1978 and 1987 the series was also largely published in children's magazines including: Highlights, Cricket, LadyBug, Friend, New Era, as well as over two hundred different small magazines, most of which went out of business in the late 1980s. The bulk of these magazine had a MAXIMUM allowed 750 word per story, meaning that MOST of the stories written between 1978 and 1987, were not even a full single page long.
In case you don't know the magazine that published the bulk of the series, here is their website: https://shop.highlights.com/
In 1987 The Wild Years was written and it was the first "long" story, but it was still barely a novella and was only 37 pages long.
Between 1987 and 1996 most of the stories were between 5k to 10k words which is only 20 to 50 pages and still not close to novel length.
The first attempt at a novel came in 2006, with Love, Lust, Madness, but that was only 50k words or around 120 pages, so was a novella.
Most of the novellas were written between 2006 and 2014.
2014 saw the first actual novel: The Night of the Screaming Unicorn (over 500 pages long), followed by BoomFuzzy (over 700 pages long). Quickly followed by Vampire Leprechaun, Swamp of Death, and Lich Lord's Lover. These are the ONLY actual novels to be written as novels.
While there are 138 novels listed for the series, those were compilations made by taking the old short stories from 1978 to 1996 and compiling them into chronological order, then writing "connecting chapters" between each story so that they would flow like a novel. NONE of these were ever released online, on Amazon, or as ebooks. They were local sales collector editions (known as The 35th anniversary pink cover editions) and were only sold at local fairs and festivals as limited run paperbacks, of only just 100 copies each per title.

And so...
The series is and always has been, short stories, with over 7/8ths of the stories being under a thousand words long aka 7/8th of the series is made up of 1 to 3 page long flash fiction.
AND the bulk of the series is CHILDREN's STORIES that were published in children's magazines including: Highlights, Cricket, LadyBug, Friend, and New Era, magazines aimed at children ages 8 to 12 years old. Which is WHY it is so laughably ridiculous when haters of the series try to slander it by calling it Erotica or try to slander me by calling me an Erotica author.
I add this note, because in November 2021 there rose up a massive slander champaign (which may have existed prior, I don't know - I just know they showed up at my house and did massive amounts of vandalism to the building on Thanksgiving 2021, and the FBI found them to have also created 27 FaceBook accounts and 33 Reddit accounts, all created between November 2021 and May 2022, all impersonating me, all pretending not only to be me, but pretending to be an Erotica writer, and according to the FBI, all these accounts were made by a man named Shem, his sister Yyvonne, their sister Rochelle, and their cousin Addam, and were run largely by their church group... it included them also publishing on Amazon a series of Erotica and pornography books with my name listed as the author, with pink bars on the top and bottom of the book covers, to try to make them look the pink cover 35th anniversary editions of the Quaraun series... these were reported to Amazon who has since taken them down and banned the fraudulent impersonators who created them. The group doing this call themselves "The Todd Murphy Gang", and claim to be doing this erotica slander and impersonations "In Honour of Tod Murphy". We still don't know who Tod Murphy is or why they are doing this.
What we do know is that days before the Tod Murphy Gang showed up in our yard...In October 2021 a homeless man showed up at our house claiming that his mother was going around to barrooms in Scarborough, Maine and bragging that she was the woman who murdered my son with a golf club... this was a pivotal point in my son's murder investigation, because the murder weapon was in fact a golf club, HOWEVER public access records and police reports had listed it as a machete in order to not release the real weapon to the public...only the actual murderer would know the reports were wrong and a golf club was the real weapon, and so FBI and Biddeford police started scouring Biddeford in search of this homeless man to find out who his mother was... but on November 19, 2021 at 6:27PM he was murdered by 4 women who surrounded him on bicycles and pushed him in front of the train on RailRoad Ave.
The police believe he was telling the truth when he claimed his mother to be my son's murderer, but, the police also believe his mother found out and hired those 4 woman to throw him in front of the train. The police also believe these 4 woman to be relatives of the man named Shem, his sister Yyvonne, their sister Rochelle, and their cousin Addam, who created the fraudulant impersonation accounts only days after the murder of the homelessman whom had come forward claiming his mother to be my son's murderer.
The identity of this homeless man and his mother remain a mystery and the FBI is now heavily focused on tracking every move made by the man named Shem, his sister Yyvonne, their sister Rochelle, and their cousin Addam, to find out what their conection was to the homeless man thrown in front of the train, as it is the only real lead to identifying said homeless man or his mother. In any case ALL slander calling me an Erotica author and my series Erotica, originates from these impersonating me FaceBook and Reddit accounts created by a man named Shem, his sister Yyvonne, their sister Rochelle, and their cousin Addam, according to the FBI agents in charge of investigating my son's murder.)
But I add this note, because since 2021, especially since late 2022, I have been swamped with people contacting me and trying to locate my Erotica books, except I don't write Erotica, and at first thought they had me mixed up with someone else, but have since learned of the fraudulent accounts on FaceBook and Reddit that were impersonating me to slander me and and my books trying to convince people I wrote Erotica. (Which I find baffling, because what would ever possess someone to try to convince readers that a children's author was an Erotica author? That makes no logical sense to me at all.)
I was also born in 1975, so I was 3 years old in 1978.
Let that sink in for a minute.
I was 3 years old and it was published by Highlights For Children magazine in the section called "Reader Stories" where TODDLERS sent in stories they had written.
Again, let that since in for a minute, why the series is about an Elf with Rapunzel JellyFish hair, married to a Unicorn.
I was a 3 year old toddler when I created these characters and started this series.
Which makes the accusation of it being an Erotica series even more laughable.
But also, being born in 1975, means that i was only 12 years old in 1987.
The BULK of the series - more then two thousand of it's stories, were written between 1978 and 1987, BEFORE I even turned TWELVE years old.
Are you starting to see how INCREDIBLY ludacris the Erotica accusations are NOW? Yeah.
But, that brings us back to the novels vs the short stories.
The short stories were always children's stories, the novels were not.
The novels were written by reader requests. You see, after 35 years of reading the children's stories, readers who were now in their 40s+ were asking things like "Are Quaraun and BoomFuzzy married? Are they a couple? Are they just friends who live together? How did they meet? etc". I wrote The Night of The Screaming Unicorn, the novel BoomFuzzy, Vampire Leprechaun of Fire Mountain, Quaraun and the Vampire Into the Swamp of Death, and GhoulSpawn and the Lich Lord's Lover, as a "prequal set" to answer reader questions about how 3 met and ended up together. In those 5 stories only, is Quaraun young and BoomFuzzy alive/not a ghost. In the rest of the series Quaraun is elderly, around 750 years old and BoomFuzzy is the ghost of his dead husband haunting him. And in those 5 stories are the ONLY sex scenes in the series. 16 of them. ZERO sex scenes exist in the story stories.
The series celebrates its 50th anniversary in 2028, but the novels are not yet 20 years old.
And since 2021, people show up on my website searching for NOVELS and EROTICA and get disapointed when they find out I am NOT a novel writer nor an Erotica author.
They then turn to my Quaraun series, the ONLY series I write, and think that they should read the novels first, assuming the short stories to be "reader magnets" intending to market the novels... and that's when they really get confused... you see, the novels run on the assumption that you have ALREADY READ the bulk of the short stories, and if you have NOT yet read the short stories, well, you are going to be confused out of your mind if you try to read the novels first.
The novels are prequals to the series, the series is the short stories, and the novels were very specifically written to answer a list of reader questions... and they do EXACTLY that and nothing else... I'm NOT a novel writer, heck I don't even read novels. I am a short story writer, and I'm a short story reader.
I say this because the single most common complaint of the novels is: "This doesn't read like a novel, this reads like a bunch of badly connects scenes that don't go together."... yes. That is EXACTLY what the 5 novels are. A bunch of short stories, slapped together in chronological order. Did I mention I'm not a novelist and I don't even like reading novels? Yeah.
The point is, the novels ARE the suplimental materials.
And for those of you who like using the term "reader magnet", well, that would be the novels. It is the novels that are made to supliment the short stories, not the other way around. And as I'm not someone who likes, enjoys, or even has an interest in novels, I'm certainly not someone who likes, enjoys, or has an interest in writing novels.
So, no, the novels are NOT the series. Yes, the novels exist only as bonus materials created for the die hard fans who wanted a back story to the series. Yes, you'll be totally lost and confused if you try to read the novels without ever having read the series, because No, I did not explain anything, introduce anything, and the novels DO assume you ALREADY know the characters and the world, and what things are refering to. So, yes, if you was going to compare the novels to how other writers write novels, yes, the novels are very poorly written and formatted because I haven't got the first clue how novels are written and formated. I'm a short story writer, not a novelist.
But also, no, there are no more novels coming, because I'm a short story writer, not a novelist. I love writing short stories. I love reading short stories. But I hate writing novels almost as much as I hate reading novels.
There are more then three thousand short stories in this series, that alone should tell you something about the fact that the series IS the short stories and I'm not a novelist.

This was done deliberately on my part, and I did it because the bulk of the pages on this website are chapters from 138 novels and 423 novellas, so only the first page of each novel and novella indexed by search engines, and the remainder are linked in order, one page at a time, via clicking "next page" at the end of each.
