What is the series about?

It's three god-level planet destroying alien invader Space Elf, Space Faerie, Space Demon wizards, with big global domination plans, whom have invaded 40th century Earth, settled in a lighthouse in Maine, are hellbent on destroying all Humans and taking over the planet, but never getting anything done because they are too busy throwing temper tantrums, having hissy fits, and flinging food, sea slugs, insults, and sexual tension at each other to get around to destroying the planet.

It's slice-of-life survival horror in a post-apocalyptic necromantic dictatorship, told through dysfunctional domestic intimacy between soul-stealing villains who rule the world. Welcome to the spiralling madness of Quaraun’s eldritch, sensory-heavy, character-driven, neurotic, dysfunctional, intimate, sugar-dusted Fae-punk world. This is the hostile, dystopian, necromantic, and hyper-sensory domestic horror of Quaraun’s everyday life with BoomFuzzy (and sometimes GhoulSpawn), in a grim world ruled by undead Faerie warlords where society has collapsed and survival is brutal, intimate, and corrupt, and Humans are often on the menu of UnSeelie Court feasts.

Quaraun sat perched on a frostbitten chunk of rebar jutting from the collapsed remains of a motorway overpass. His long pink silk robes pooled around his feet, glittering unnaturally beneath the dim neon glow of a malfunctioning streetlight. His twelve-foot-long silver hair coiled around his slender body, the venomous jellyfish tendrils twitching at the sound of distant footsteps crunching over frozen gravel.

The brittle wind howled through the ice-crusted ruins of the city, carrying with it the coppery stench of old blood and rot.

The mage’s crystal-blue eyes narrowed.

Someone was following them.

BoomFuzzy’s heavy boots clinked against the ice as he trudged toward Quaraun, his broad figure wrapped in layers of tattered purple tartan and black leather. His long grey dreadlocks, crusted with frost, hung over his shoulders like frozen ropes. Steam curled from his mouth as he spoke.

“Ya hear that, CupCake?” BoomFuzzy asked, his gold-plated teeth flashing in the half-light. “Footsteps. No’ one of ours, aye?”

Quaraun’s rabbit-like ears twitched, the delicate silver chains connecting his earrings to his nose rings tinkling softly.

“No. Human. Armed.” He paused, lips curling downward. “Three. No — four of them. Closing in.”

BoomFuzzy’s hand drifted to his hip where his laser wand hung.

“Well, tha’s no’ friendly-like, now is it?”

GhoulSpawn appeared from behind a crumbling column, his huge horns scraping against the frozen concrete as he ducked under it. His green velvet Fagin coat flapped open, revealing an orange caftan layered with scavenged tech devices and half-eaten Twinkies stuffed into various pockets.

“Uh… guys?” GhoulSpawn’s golden-furred lamb ears flicked nervously. “I’m getting, like, serious murder vibes here.” His hooves clopped against the frozen ground as he edged closer. “Should we, uh, bounce?”

“Not yet.” Quaraun slid from the rebar and leaned on his cane. His silver hair writhed across the frozen ground, glinting in the streetlight’s flicker. “Let them come. We shall find out what they want.”

And come they did.

Four men emerged from the fog.

Thin, half-starved Humans in patchwork tactical gear, faces hidden beneath metal masks and tattered scarves. They each held crude, makeshift guns cobbled together from pipes and salvaged parts.

The leader, taller than the others, aimed his weapon directly at Quaraun’s head.

“Give us the goods, Elf.”

Quaraun arched a delicate brow.

“What goods?”

“The tech,” the man growled.

“Tech?”

“We saw your caravan. We know you’ve got the pre-comet tech in there. Hand it over, or we start shooting.”

BoomFuzzy chuckled darkly.

“Ya think a’ gun’s gonna do any good against us, Laddie? We’re The UnSeelie Court. And I’m a Lich. I died three hundred years ago!”

“Try it,” Quaraun said softly, lifting his cane. His venomous tentacle-hair lashed out like a whip, striking the ground with a wet slap. “You shall regret it.”

The man hesitated. His gun wavered.

“Give it back to us!”

“Give it back?” Quaraun asked. Confused. “Give what back? What are you talking about? We do not have anything of yours.”

GhoulSpawn’s golden pleco eyes widened.

“Uh, guys, I think I know why they’re here.” He fished around in his coat and pulled out a small, rusted metal box. “I kinda… might have… stolen this.”

BoomFuzzy glared at him.

“Ghouly…”

“In my defence, it looked abandoned!” GhoulSpawn protested. “I mean, the world is in ruins. We scavage every building we go through. How was I to know it belonged to anyone?”

He flipped the lid open, revealing a sleek black panel embedded with glowing blue lines. The symbols etched into it were ancient — pre-comet encryption code.

“A high-level security key,” Quaraun whispered. His delicate fingers traced the edge of the panel. “To what?”

“That’s what I’m saying!” GhoulSpawn’s voice pitched upward. “I dunno! But it was just, like, sitting there in a wrecked server farm! So I figured — “

“You figured you’d steal it and maybe bring down what’s left of the Human race?” BoomFuzzy growled.

“I thought I could use it on the BioDome. Take it apart. Maybe fix the computer system. Get the rain simulation sprinklers working again.”

Quaraun’s eyes sharpened.

“They are not here to steal it back. They are here to prevent us from using it. That means it enables something important.”

“What’s it enable?” BoomFuzzy asked, stepping closer to Quaraun, his purple tail twitching.

“I do not know.” Quaraun turned the box over in his hands. His tentacles flicked uneasily. “But someone fears it enough to kill for it.”

“Enough talking!”

The leader raised his gun.

BoomFuzzy moved fast. His Glimmer Wand flashed, and a burst of white light exploded from its tip. The street filled with shimmering holographic duplicates of BoomFuzzy — dozens of purple-clad warriors laughing in the icy fog.

Quaraun flicked his cane upward, his Rainbow Wand snapping into his hand from within the hollow shaft. He thumbed the orange rune. A laser beam of searing heat erupted from the tip, melting the gun barrel clean off.

The other three men scrambled backward, firing wildly.

GhoulSpawn yelped and threw his arms over his head. One bullet ricocheted off his curved horn with a loud clang.

“Ow! Hey! That was rude!”

BoomFuzzy’s illusion army closed in, confusing the attackers.

Quaraun’s tentacle-hair shot forward, wrapping around the leader’s throat. The man gagged, dropping his broken weapon.

Quaraun’s pale blue eyes glinted coldly.

“You wanted to kill me?” Quaraun’s voice was soft. “How very foolish of you. I am The Pink Necromancer. You can not kill me. But I will certainly kill you.”

“Wait!” the man croaked. “You don’t know what you’ve got!”

Quaraun’s hair tightened.

“Explain.”

“It’s… it’s a control key!” the man choked out. “For the Grid!”

Quaraun’s eyes widened.

“The Grid is dead.”

“Not… not completely…” the Human gasped. “That key… enables… the core network…”

“Toobe?”

“Yeah. We stole it from Checka’s compound.”

“That is the key to controlling Toobe?”

“Yeah. It’s the heart of Tobbe. Without it the AI can’t function.”

Quaraun released him. The man collapsed, gasping.

“Well,” BoomFuzzy said, stepping over the Human’s writhing form. His long fluffy purple tail twitching with excitement. “Tha’ certainly sounds important.”

Quaraun examined the box again.

“If it enables Toobe’s Grid… we could gain control of the entire electrical network of the entire planet. We could control Toobe.”

“Toobe?” GhoulSpawn squeaked. “The rouge AI overlord that, like, killed off all the people in the cities?”

“Yes.”

“You want to gain control of that?”

“Yes.”

GhoulSpawn swallowed.

“That could mean access to old-world systems. Defence codes. Weapons. Medical data — “

“Maybe stuff from my time?” GhoulSpawn asked. “Maybe there would be something to help me get back to my time. Or…”

“Or the remaining satellites,” Quaraun whispered. His hand curled around the box. “If we could enable Toobe’s Grid, we could gain control of all three of the Triple Planets. I could control The Triple Planets with this. Every planet inhabited by Humans, would be at my mercy.”

“Or enable the ones who destroyed it,” BoomFuzzy pointed out.

GhoulSpawn rubbed his horns nervously.

“So… what’s the plan?”

Quaraun tucked the box into his robe.

“We take it to the camp. We study it. We find out what it does.”

“And if it’s bad?”

“Then we disable it.”

“And if we can’t?” BoomFuzzy asked.

Quaraun smiled thinly.

“Then we run.”

The leader groaned on the ground as Quaraun turned away. His tentacle-hair flicked, splattering venom into the snow.

“What about him?”

“Leave him.”

“What if he comes after us?” GhoulSpawn asked.

“He will not,” Quaraun said coldly. “If he values his life.”

As they walked back toward the caravan, BoomFuzzy draped an arm around Quaraun’s slender shoulders.

“Yer plannin’ somethin’ dangerous again, aren’t ya, CupCake?”

Quaraun’s foot long rabbitty ears twitched.

“Yes.”

“And ya know we’ll follow ya, no matter what?”

“Yes.”

BoomFuzzy’s gold-toothed grin widened.

“Good. Sounds fun. That’s why I like following ya high polluting pink arse. Ya always know how to have fun.”

GhoulSpawn sighed.

“Yeah… I have a bad feeling about this.”
