What is the series about?
It's three god-level, planet destroying, alien invader Space Elf, Space Faerie, Space Demon megalomaniac super villain bumbling wizards, and their ship's crew (The UnSeelie Court) with big global domination plans, whom have invaded 40th century Earth, settled in a lighthouse in Maine, started a zombie apocalypse, are hellbent on destroying all Humans and taking over the planet, but are never getting anything done because they are too busy throwing temper tantrums, having hissy fits, and flinging food, sea slugs, insults, and sexual tension at each other, to ever get around to destroying the planet.
It's slice-of-life survival horror in a post-apocalyptic necromantic dictatorship, told through dysfunctional domestic intimacy between soul-stealing villains who rule the world. Welcome to the spiralling madness of Quaraun’s eldritch, sensory-heavy, character-driven, neurotic, dysfunctional, intimate, sugar-dusted Fae-punk world. This is the hostile, dystopian, necromantic, and hyper-sensory domestic horror of Quaraun’s everyday life with BoomFuzzy (and sometimes GhoulSpawn), in a grim world ruled by undead Faerie warlords where society has collapsed and survival is brutal, intimate, and corrupt, and Humans are often on the menu of UnSeelie Court feasts.

- IMAGE 1: The Pink Necromancer, Thullid Infested Moon Elf silk weaver, travelling merchant, & Royal Court Mage of The UnSeelie Court: Quaraun Swanzen on Noodle Beach. With his unhinged temper, his 12 foot long prehensile, venomous jellyfish tentacle hair, his deadly laser wand, and his inability to stay sober long enough to cast a spell properly, he is the most feared being in the known universe. Quaraun is literally a Space JellyFish (A Thullid) whom has taken control of the corpse of a dead Elf.
In the year 2525, a comet struck the Moon. Now, in 40th century Maine, Earth is frozen, the Moon is fractured, and UnDead Lobsters are a serious problem. And then there's Quaraun: The Pink Necromancer. Most feared super villain on Earth. Possibly the galaxy. Maybe ever. But all he wants is tea, silk embroidery, and a calm evening in his lighthouse.
- IMAGE 2: Master Chef Phooka turned Lich King of The UnSeelie Court: King Gwallmaiic aka BoomFuzzy the Unicorn with his 1968 VW Bus Beach Noodle Food Truck. He is king of the entire fucking planet. Defy him and he'll serve you as the main course of the next UnSeelie Court feast. The world's only known Unicorn, in his true form he is a tiny lilac coloured Shetland Pony with a gleaming silver horn. In his Lich form he is a blue crystal skeleton of a Friesian stallion.
BoomFuzzy, the Unicorn Lich King of the UnSeelie Court, is Quaraun's dead husband. Technically dead. Officially terrifying. Unofficially the best baker left in the apocalypse.
- IMAGE 3: The Satyr-like, mad scientist Sheep Demon: Gremorse Liore aka GhoulSpawn with his 1974 AMC Gremlin time machine. He is Quaraun's apprentice, and fast becoming the most powerful wizard in the universe.
GhoulSpawn, their brilliant, baffled companion, fell through time from 1978 and never found the way home. Now he juggles tech repairs, running from zombies, and being madly in love with the two most dangerous men of the apocalypse.
- Art by Wendy Christine Allen.
- Not seen here: Toobe: a deceptively innocent looking tiny flying silver metal orb that hoovers around GhoulSpawn, giving science reports and scanning for dangers, Toobe is a sadistically insane sentient AI from thirteen thousand years in the future, who is the real brains behind the plot of global domination.
Drabble 1: Among Crumbling Corridors
Quaraun glided through the mall’s decayed halls, his silver hair trailing behind like a living veil.
BoomFuzzy and GhoulSpawn flanked him, navigating the rubble-strewn floor.
The Maine Mall had been cleared of zombies months ago, and was now a hub of merchants once again. Nearby settlements sent survivor groups to the mall to buy supplies for the villages. There was no laws, no rules. Merchants just pitched tents and carts wherever they fit. Different merchants in different locations every day.
“We need a spot with light,” Quaraun muttered, examining the collapsed ceiling above. “Direct sunlight. I am selling cosmetics today. Sales rely on giving customer’s makeovers, convincing them to buy whatever makes them look beautiful. I can use the sunlight to my advantage.”
“Too many holes in the walls,” BoomFuzzy remarked, his grey dreadlocks swaying as he sidestepped debris. “Wind’s blowing cold through here.”
“Wind is good. I can hang my brightest coloured scarves in the line of the cross winds. Fluttering bright colours will attract customer’s eyes, get them looking at my kiosk.”
GhoulSpawn sniffed the air, his Sheep Demon senses on edge.
“There’s movement.”
Quaraun didn’t flinch.
“No zombies here, Glinta. You can let your guard down. This is a safe zone. Merchants. Survivors. That is what you hear. We are early. I wanted to get a good spot before other merchants arrived.”
The ruins echoed with distant voices. Quaraun’s blue eyes gleamed.
“This will do. Unicorn. Glinta. Start unpacking, while I sweep the dirt out of the way.”
Drabble 2: Setting the Stage of Beauty
Quaraun arranged his wares meticulously, placing pots of creams, lotions, and cosmetics onto a rickety old counter. His gold plated fingers traced the edges of a silk scarf, folding it perfectly next to his jars of potions.
“Too crowded here,” BoomFuzzy commented, listening to the Elf work.
“Nonsense,” Quaraun replied, adjusting a mirror. “It’s perfect. Hubs of Humans, means enough customers that I will sell out of everything.”
GhoulSpawn huffed as he lifted a heavy crate.
“Too many people. They’ll trample everything.”
“They shall come for beauty,” Quaraun said softly, arranging lip creams in neat rows. “And they will pay for it. We shall make so much gold!”
BoomFuzzy smiled.
“Ye’ve an eye for profit, Love.”
“And perfection,” Quaraun added, satisfied.
Drabble 3: Exploring the Marketplace
With the kiosk neatly assembled, Quaraun’s pink silk robe billowed as he stood back to admire it.
“Time to scout,” BoomFuzzy said, nudging GhoulSpawn. “See what these merchants offer.”
Quaraun waved them off.
“Go on. I have work to do. Have fun. Steal something good.”
BoomFuzzy leaned in to kiss Quaraun’s forehead.
“I’ll find somethin’ good for ye.”
“I do not doubt that,” Quaraun murmured, already focused on mixing another jar of balm.
GhoulSpawn tugged at BoomFuzzy’s sleeve.
“Let’s go. I smell food.”
BoomFuzzy chuckled.
“Off we go then, Goat. Lead the way.”
“I’m a Sheep,” GhoulSpawn grumbled, following the Faerie King into the bustling ruins.
“Yis a Sour Puss!”
“I am not!”
“Race ya to the Food Court!”
“Stop running! You’re blind! You’ll run into something and knock yourself out again!”
Drabble 4: Softening the Savage
Quaraun leaned over a burly man, his gold prosthetic fingers swirling scented lotion over the man’s grimy cheeks. The Human’s gruff scowl deepened as Quaraun smiled, dabbing rose petal balm onto his cracked lips.
“Skin is a canvas, my dear,” Quaraun purred, prehensile silver hair coiling around his wrists.
The man growled, trying to pull away, but Quaraun’s ethereal beauty and swift movements held him still.
“Trust me. I shall make you irresistible.”
The man blinked, staring at his reflection in a shattered mirror. His dirt-caked face gleamed beneath the grime, jaw softening.
“Now, darling, don’t you feel prettier?”
“No,” he grunted.
“Yes, you do.”
Drabble 5: The Skeptical Elder
An elderly woman squinted at the jars of lip creams, tapping the table suspiciously.
“This stuff work?” she croaked.
Quaraun, draped in pink silk, beamed.
“Of course it does! Look at me! I am seven hundred and fifty years old. It restores vitality, radiance. There is eternal youth in this bottle.”
The woman huffed, her weathered face crinkling into deeper lines.
“Radiance, eh?”
He took her hand, applying a rose cream. Her cracked skin softened instantly, age spots fading. She gasped, pulling her hand back, examining the change.
Quaraun rubbed more on her face, then smirked, handing her a mirror.
“See? Miracles. Wrinkles vanish.”
The old woman’s eyes widened.
“I… I do look younger.”
“Told you.” He winked. “Now, shall we move on to the eye shadow or lip gloss next?”
Drabble 6: Warrior to Goddess
A warrior woman towered over Quaraun, her arms folded, glaring down at the Moon Elf.
“Makeup? I’ve no need for it.”
“Nonsense!” Quaraun chirped, grabbing a clay pot of shimmering blue shadow. “You are hiding a masterpiece beneath those scars. A warrior can be a princess. Wearing armour does not mean you must neglect glamour!”
She flinched as he traced a delicate brush across her eyelids.
“Hold still.”
Her war-weary face, once hardened and lined with battle, softened with Quaraun’s expert touches. A smile tugged at the corners of her lips as he revealed her new reflection in a cracked mirror.
“By the gods…”
“There. See? Glorious. You are beautiful. Like a Goddess.”
She blinked.
“I… I almost forgot.”
Drabble 7: Curious Youth
A young boy approached the kiosk, wide-eyed.
“What’s this?”
Quaraun grinned, uncorking a vial of rosewater.
“Beauty, darling.”
The boy wrinkled his nose.
“But I’m not a girl.”
“Beauty transcends gender.” Quaraun spritzed the boy’s face, sending a mist of spearmint, and rose into the air. The boy giggled, wiping his cheeks.
“What do I look like now?”
Quaraun applied a touch of pink to his lips.
“Like a prince.”
The boy’s eyes sparkled.
“A prince?”
“A radiant prince. Here.”
He held up a handheld mirror.
The boy’s reflection shimmered.
“I am beautiful!”
Quaraun winked.
“You always were.”
Drabble 8: The Wary Mother
A nervous mother approached, clutching her daughter’s hand.
“What is this stuff for?”
Quaraun motioned to the array of jars.
“For beauty, nourishment, care.”
The mother frowned.
“My daughter wants some.”
“But of course.”
“I…I don’t want anything harmful for her.”
“Nothing harmful. Only natural.”
He reached for the little girl’s hand, massaging sweet almond oil into her skin. The child giggled as her skin glowed with health, the mother watching, still hesitant.
“See?” Quaraun said softly, his eyes warm. “I make these with a base of sheep’s milk, oatmeal, rose petals, and honey. Only kindness for the skin. Look at my skin. Have you ever seen skin more perfect then mine? I use this every day. It is the secret to me beauty.”
The mother’s frown relaxed. She nodded, reaching for a jar of cream.
“I’ll take it.”
Quaraun smiled.
“A wise choice.”
Drabble 9: The Skeptic Turned Loyal
A scowling man crossed his arms at Quaraun’s stall.
“You think your potions will make me pretty?”
Quaraun raised a delicate eyebrow.
“Beauty comes from within. I merely enhance what’s already there.”
He smeared a berry-tinted cream over the man’s rough cheeks. The man shifted uncomfortably as Quaraun’s nimble fingers worked.
“Look.”
The man caught his reflection, his grizzled appearance softening into something almost regal.
“Still think it is nonsense?” Quaraun teased. “You look like a King now!”
The man grunted, staring longer than expected.
“How…How much for the jar?”
Quaraun’s lips curled.
“For you, my dear? A bargain. Beauty is priceless.”
Drabble 10: The Reluctant Scholar
A scholar adjusted his spectacles, fidgeting as Quaraun leaned over him.
“This…this is unnecessary.”
Quaraun had grabbed the man’s arm and shoved him into a chair, before the man had even realized the kiosk was there.
“Knowledge and beauty are intertwined, Love,” Quaraun murmured, dabbing golden balm onto the man’s temples. “Both require care.”
The scholar wrinkled his nose.
“I prefer to focus on facts, not frivolities.”
Quaraun chuckled.
“Beauty is fact. Skin is the canvas of life.”
He handed the scholar a mirror. The man blinked, startled at the newfound glow in his complexion.
“I…I didn’t expect…”
Quaraun smiled, patting his shoulder.
“Never underestimate the power of looking as brilliant as your mind.”
The scholar smiled faintly.
Drabble 11: The Return of the Wanderers
As Quaraun polished the last jar of lotion, BoomFuzzy and GhoulSpawn returned. BoomFuzzy’s hands were full of wrapped parcels, and GhoulSpawn carried a large sack.
“You found something?” Quaraun asked, wiping his hands.
BoomFuzzy grinned.
“Chocolate. Fresh bread. And somethin’ I think ye’ll love.”
He unwrapped a delicate grey linen ruana, embroidered with silver.
Quaraun’s eyes lit up.
“For me?”
“Of course, Love,” BoomFuzzy replied, draping it around Quaraun’s shoulders.
“It matches my pink silk!”
“I know. It why I got it.”
“And I got…” GhoulSpawn began, unceremoniously dumping the sack, spilling out a grand pile of pilfered odd trinkets and baubles. “All sorts of random stuff!”
Quaraun smirked.
“It is always random with you.”
“I found so many silver spoons! Look at these! Commemorative spoons!”
BoomFuzzy laughed.
“Perfect day.”
Drabble 12: Packing Away the Magic
BoomFuzzy knelt beside Quaraun, carefully placing jars of creams back into their velvet-lined crates. GhoulSpawn stacked pottery and folded silk scarves.
“Ye did good today,” BoomFuzzy murmured, closing a crate.
Quaraun gave a small smile.
“They flocked to me. As expected.”
“Of course, ye’re irresistible,” BoomFuzzy teased, kissing Quaraun’s cheek.
GhoulSpawn sniffed a jar.
“Why do people put this stuff on their face?”
Quaraun shot him a glance.
“Beauty, Glinta. They desire it.”
BoomFuzzy chuckled.
“Even the ugliest brute wants to be pretty deep down.”
GhoulSpawn shrugged, stacking more jars.
“I’ll never understand it.”
Quaraun smiled softly.
“You wouldn’t.”
Drabble 13: Into the Night
They exited the mall, the night air biting against their faces.
Quaraun wrapped his new linen ruana tighter around his shoulders, glancing back at the ruins.
“Busy day,” BoomFuzzy said, walking beside him.
“Too busy,” Quaraun sighed. “But worth it.”
GhoulSpawn looked up at the fractured moon, pulling his green velvet coat tight.
“Think we’ll come back?”
“Oh, certainly,” Quaraun said, silver hair shimmering in the moonlight. “The mall is perfect for this.”
BoomFuzzy nodded.
“Plenty of desperate souls.”
“And faces needing creams,” Quaraun added with a smirk.
BoomFuzzy laughed.
“And ye’ll make them all beautiful, Love.”
“Always,” Quaraun replied softly. “Just because we got an apocalypse going on is no excuse for being dirty and unclean.”
