What is the series about?
It's three god-level planet destroying alien invader Space Elf, Space Faerie, Space Demon wizards, with big global domination plans, whom have invaded 40th century Earth, settled in a lighthouse in Maine, are hellbent on destroying all Humans and taking over the planet, but never getting anything done because they are too busy throwing temper tantrums, having hissy fits, and flinging food, sea slugs, insults, and sexual tension at each other to get around to destroying the planet.
It's slice-of-life survival horror in a post-apocalyptic necromantic dictatorship, told through dysfunctional domestic intimacy between soul-stealing villains who rule the world. Welcome to the spiralling madness of Quaraun’s eldritch, sensory-heavy, character-driven, neurotic, dysfunctional, intimate, sugar-dusted Fae-punk world. This is the hostile, dystopian, necromantic, and hyper-sensory domestic horror of Quaraun’s everyday life with BoomFuzzy (and sometimes GhoulSpawn), in a grim world ruled by undead Faerie warlords where society has collapsed and survival is brutal, intimate, and corrupt, and Humans are often on the menu of UnSeelie Court feasts.
The Curse of the Liquid Gold✨💛✨⭐️⚡️🌕ִֶָ⚠️☢️☣️😲✨💛✨

BoomFuzzy’s hands scraped through the muck, pulling up yet another chest from the foul-smelling swamp. He hummed, tapping the rusted hinges.
“Me thinks there’s treasure buried in this bog, Love. Got yet another chest here. I’d wager a guess, prob’ly some stagecoach went off the road here, sunk in the bog. Ain’t no other reason for so many chests in one area.”
“So many of them,” Quaraun said as he closed the trunk BoomFuzzy had dragged out of the mud a few minutes ago, and made his way to the new one BoomFuzzy was dragging up now.
“Ye’ll like this.”
Quaraun leaned closer, eager.
“What have you found?”
“Don’t know. Got weird little potion bottles in it.”
Quaraun’s hand grazed over the edge of the small treasure chest, fingers trembling with excitement as he pulled a tiny glass vial from the heap of jewels and rusted trinkets. Inside, liquid shimmered in an odd, molten hue.
“Liquid gold!” Quaraun exclaimed. “I’ve never see such a thing before.”
It sloshed with a strange molten liquid, gleaming golden even in the dim light filtering through the mist. Quaraun’s breath hitched, his eyes widening.
Gold.
But not quite gold.
“Unicorn!” Quaraun called, waving it at BoomFuzzy, who still stood ankle-deep in the swamp, a shovel slung over his shoulder.
“Look! I’ve found alchemic treasure! Some alchemist has turned mercury into gold!”
“Mercury? Ain’t that dangerous, Love?”
“It’s gold!” Quaraun squealed. “Alchemy! Someone transformed mercury into gold!”
He cradled the vial, eyes glinting with greed.
BoomFuzzy chuckled.
“Mmm, well, good fortune for ye, JellyElf. By the sounds of the birds, night is settling in soon. We should make camp. Can dig around for more treasure in the morning.”
“Alright. I’ll go see where Glinta wandered off to,” Quaraun said, while holding the vial up to watch it shimmer in the sunset. “Liquid gold! And it’s mine!”
The Phooka grinned broadly, though unaware of what Quaraun actually held.
Neither had any notion of the danger.
Quaraun twirled the vial in his fingers, mesmerized by its glow.
That night, the three gathered under the shelter of a half-collapsed tree, huddled around BoomFuzzy’s enchanted crock pot as it simmered with fresh stew.
Quaraun still clutched the tiny bottle of shimmering liquid, admiring it in the firelight.
“Is it not beautiful?” Quaraun said, holding it over the campfire so he could get a better look at it.
The liquid inside swirled, bubbling slightly.
GhoulSpawn looked up, a spoon halfway to his mouth.
“Wait… What did you say that was again?”
“Liquid gold! Someone transformed mercury into gold! I wonder how they did it?”
“There’s no such thing as liqu — -” GhoulSpawn did not get a chance to finish his statement.
Without warning, the vial grew warm in Quaraun’s hand. He frowned, holding it up to the firelight.
BoomFuzzy sniffed the air, pausing from stirring the pot.
“Somethin’ smells off, Love.”
Before Quaraun could react, the bottle he clutched flared with sudden heat. Liquid gold swirled furiously.
A spark.
A flash of light.
Then — BOOM!
The glass exploded into flames, engulfing the campsite in a sudden blaze.
Quaraun yelped, leaping back, his pink silk robes catching sparks.
“JellyElf! Yer robes!” BoomFuzzy’s voice called out, panicked.
GhoulSpawn rushed forward with a blanket, smothering the flames before they could spread.
Quaraun, wide-eyed and panting, stared at the smouldering spot where the bottle had once been. His fingers trembled.
“My gold! It — it burst into flames! I’ve released a trapped fire deity! It was trapped in there! I set it free!”
“No, no, no,” GhoulSpawn muttered, rushing over. “Quaraun. That was Caesium!”
“Casey-um?” Quaraun blinked, shaking his head. “I know no fire deity by such a name.”
GhoulSpawn shook his head, already mumbling to himself, his mind racing through the possibilities.
“Fire deity? No, Quaraun, that was no deity. That was Caesium!”
Quaraun frowned, brushing off the remnants of the ash from his gown.
“Casey…um? Who is this sorcerer you speak of?”
GhoulSpawn’s rambling voice quickened.
“No, not a wizard. A chemical! It reacts violently with air, moisture, especially water! You can’t just — hold it like that!”
Quaraun furrowed his brow.
“You speak in riddles, Glinta. It was a fire deity, and I released it.”
GhoulSpawn blinked, realizing the challenge of explaining.
“No, no. Caesium! It’s a metal. A dangerous metal. That’s probably why it was buried. To prevent anyone getting hurt by it.”
“A metal?”
“Yes. A highly reactive one. The slightest moisture, and it explodes into fire. That’s what happened! You touched water, or even just the air, and it ignited.”
Quaraun tilted his head, perplexed.
“But it was gold! An alchemist’s treasure.”
GhoulSpawn sighed, trying to explain Caesium’s properties, but Quaraun, stubborn as ever, gathered flowers into his hands and braided them into a crown.
“I must appease the fire spirit,” he muttered. “It might be angry.”
GhoulSpawn sighed, rubbing his temples.
“No, no… it’s a natural element. It looks like gold but is far more dangerous. It reacts instantly with water, releasing heat and flames.”
But Quaraun waved him off. His superstitions outweighing scientific logic.
“It was a fire spirit! I released it. Now, it is gone. I shall appease it with offerings.”
He began muttering an incantation, weaving flowers into a garland to leave as an offering for the deity he believed he’d unleashed.
GhoulSpawn exhaled heavily.
“I give up.”
