Interestingly, I have recently learned that there are people who read my site that were unaware AI was real, and actually thought I was the one typing up the replies on these! LOL!

LLM text generating AI has been a thing in the real world since at least 2019, because my earliest articles where I was testing out AI were published in 2019.

In 2019 I did an entire series of Quaraun short stories, fully written by Dreamily (https://dreamily.ai/) and AI Dungeon (https://aidungeon.com/) and wrote several articles throughout 2019 to 2021 on how to use those two AI programs specifically for worldbuilding and plotting Fantasy stories.

In 2021 I joined the beta test program for ChatGPT and was already using ChatGPT daily BEFORE it's public release in November 2022, and I had talked about it several times in several articles throughout 2021 and 2022.

When my 2016 Witcher 3 gaming rig died in 2023, I decided it upgrade from a gaming rig to a mini server rig that can run overkill level 8qwart+ self hosted offline AI’s via Ollama (https://ollama.com/). If you thought my 2016 gaming rig was a crazy overkill mega rig, it weren’t even a quarter the crazy overkill mega computer I’ve been running Ollama on since 2023.

With Ollama I now use over TWO HUNDRED different AI programs to write my Quaraun books, thanks to HuggingFace (https://huggingface.co/models?pipeline_tag=text-generation&apps=ollama&sort=trending) with Delirium being the primary novel writing AI program I use (https://huggingface.co/sam-paech/Delirium-v1)

I don't know how far before 2019 AI existed, but I know Deep Fake videos (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Deepfake) of me were being published by friends and family of my son's murderer on YouTube as far back as 2014. So image, audio, and video AI is well over a decade old.

So, for those who were confused as to who I was talking to in these articles, here are some wikipedia pages that give you info on what this thing is that I am talking to in these conversations:

Why use AI to write?

Because even though I am too paralized to type anymore, I can still think.

You got to remember: I became bedridden with a broken spine in 2013, and was quadriplegic until 2015; regained some use of my hands in 2015, and have been relearning to walk since.

So I was not online from November 14, 2013 until late in 2016, and then was only online a couple of days a month on my own website, and not on social media again until 2018, but then again, only checking in my accounts once every 3 months or so so only posting about 4 times a year anywhere, because I was just too crippled still, to sit up long enough to type. So it wasn't until 2022 that I returned to posting "regular" aka once a week, and so I lost track of everyone I used to know online because of being 9 full years offline.

You got to remember, I LOST THE ABILITY TO TYPE in 2013, and STILL IN 2025 have nearly no use of my left hand, while only have the ability to use TWO FINGERS of my right hand.

Meaning I AM STILL UNABLE TO TYPE WITHOUT ASSISTANCE.

The VERY REASON I looked into using AI to continue writing my series of novels, was BECAUSE I had become a quadriplegic with no use of either my arms or legs in 2013. and while I had regained some limited movement in my arms and legs now, it is not enough to either type for more then five to ten minutes a day, nor enough to walk for more then a few hundred feet a day, yes, even still now in 2025, twelve years later.

After the 2016 surgery gave me the ability to speak normally, I set out to use Dragon speech to text software. The novels "Into the Swamp of Death", "The Vampire Leprechaun of Fire Mountain", and "GhoulSpawn and the Lich Lord's Lover", were written this way, speech to text with Dragon software (as you can tell when reading them, because NO EDITING was done to these 3 at all, and what was published was MY EXACT DIALECT aka typed by Dragon THE WAY I SPEAK and not the way words should be spelt.)

However, in 2019 I found out about advances in AI, and because of my unique disability situation, was asked to join beta testing for various AI programs geared towards writing novels.

I am STILL severely disabled and STILL not able to type with more then the two first fingers of my right hand, still now in 2025. Without the help of ChatGPT, Ollama, and Delirium, I would not have been able to return to writing my Quaraun series.

Even though I am still mostly paralyzed in my left arm, and mostly paralyzed in my right arm save my two first fingers, I have been able to write and publish twenty-two additional novels, novellas, and short story collections between 2019 and 2025 with the help of ChatGPT, Ollama, and Delirium, something I could not have done, had AI not existed, because without AI I simply can not type, because the nerves have not yet recovered in my hands from the November 14, 2013 golf club attack that paralyzed me.

So what exactly is it that I am doing here?

In the black bordered blocks titled "ChatGPT5's answer:" the AI program is typing it's thoughts, observations, answers, etc. in response to what I said to it.

While there are lots of AI programs out there, the one I use on these conversations is ChatGPT. I started doing these ChatGPT conversation articles in 2023, publishing them a few times a week the entire of 2023, at first with ChatGPT2, then ChatGPT3, then ChatGPT3.5, then ChatGPT4.o, each article states which version is being used, so you can actually see the changes in how ChatGPT talks and reacts over each edition.

In all I have made over one thousand of these "conversations with ChatGPT" articles since 2023.

Since August 2025, the articles are using ChatGPT5.

October 20th is National Writing Day according to some and National Day On Writing according to others.

On Twitter people often use #WhyIWrite on October 20th.

But, most people who celebrate it, do so with, what I wouldn't personally consider as "writing".

School teachers, online seo and marketing guru grifters, and bloggers alike, all use October 20th to post writing prompts for essays and journal entries, both of which fall under journaling and reporting and yet, very few post writing prompts geared towards fiction writing.

It feels like there are fewer and fewer writers of fiction joining these online writing days, events, and challenges.

I like to use this week to get ready for National Novel Writing Month which starts November 1st. I have been writing novels, novellas, and short story collections every November since 2004 and using the final week of October to prep for NaNoWriMo since 2006.

I liked too, to use Inktober's one word prompts to write a drabble each day of October, then in November use the drabbles as prompts to write a 1k to 3k word short story each day in November, but Inktober is gone too.

Its like all the people who used to make GeoCities websites and Blogger blogs and MySpace glitter, were the same ones who did the writing on all these challenges, but as the blinkie and doll palace gif filled places become fewer and fewer, so too do the people who used them vanish from other places.

I think the biggest thing that happened was the fall of WebRing in 2014. All of use used to stay connected via our WebRing link tables in our site footers.

My site has been online since 1996 (two years before Google even existed) and it has changed hosts several times, freewebs, geocities, anglefire, wordpress, finally in 2013 i moved to host it myself because so many of the free hosting sites were gone. But I always kept my WebRing tables on it, and even now in 2025, I still have my WebRing table in my footer, linking to nearly five hundred other sites. We are the last survivors of the massive WebRing community that used to link tens of thousands of sites together.

As we are getting close to the end of summer, I'm getting my planning started for this years NaNoWriMo (even though the company no longer exists and there is no official event anymore; I have done it on my blog every year since 2004, and did not use the official forum for posting my work, so there is no reason for me to not continue doing it on my blog every year, even after the official event has gone out of business and is no longer held - for over 20 years my readers come to my blog to read my daily NaNoWriMo writings in November, might as well keep going). I wonder if the verification will help end the fake scammer accounts? I've been having a problem with someone pretending to be me, and publishing nonfiction books (I don't write nonfiction) about really bad topics (like outright terrorism stuff - how to build bombs and things, really bad stuff), and then going on social media, and trying to pass the books off as mine, right down to listing my home address, posting photos of me and my family and my car, etc. FBI is involved, and found out the ISPN of the accounts is only 14 miles away from me so it's someone local doing it, and FaceBook was able to shut down the fake FB accounts via me submitting driver's lisence and birth certificate to FB to verify my account real, but it's not been so easy to get the fake accounts off places like Amazon.

MOST of the accounts ISPN go to the Biddeford McArthur Library’s public computer, so it is someone EXTREMELY LOCAL who is creating these fake impersonation accounts and they are doing it at the Biddeford public library.

I have been petitioning places like Amazon and Reddit and FaceBook to put ID verification in place, and all 3 are now doing it. Hopefully this verification system will help with that. It's been worse on Reddit too. FBI has found 33 different Reddit accounts pretending to be me, and 27 different FB accounts pretending to be me. Similar numbers on other places. Most are spreading wild rumors about aliens, ufo, Stephen King... FBI has not yet determined why the fakers are doing it, but my son was murdered 11 years ago, and these fake accounts started showng up then, and FBI thinks it's the murderer's family doing it to try to make me look crazy in order that no one will believe me son was murdered... weird and terrifying. So, yeah, if more places like Amazon and Reddit had id verification, that'd cut down on these sorts of scams.

I have — because my son murdered by cancel culture, so I wonder this a lot.

I have never been able to wrap my mind around cancel culture. She shows up at my yard (both in Old Orchard and in Biddeford), at my college classes, at my workplace... always violent and smashing things, always yelling "transvestite freak" and similar hate slurs about transgender people (she seems to believe I am transgender even though I am I cis woman, and her hatred of transgender people seems to be her primary motive.).

At one point the man who was with her called her "Vallerie". But she herself talked of herself (in a bizarre, not how normal people talk "3rd person") Claire. She kept saying things like "I'm Claire, bitch!" and "I'm Claire you fucking transvestite freak!"

She really, really, really, really was going overboard in emphasizing that her name was Claire - to the point that I am led to believe that her name is NOT Claire, and that she was in fact pretending to be someone else, who's name was Claire.

The fact that the man with her (who was later discovered to be a Biddeford police officer - he was identified in February 2025 when he was killed in a car accident in New Hampshire.) called her "Vallerie" and not "Claire" when he talked to her, indicates, that her name is more likely to be Valerie, then Claire.

But I know no one named either Vallerie or Claire, and outside of these events where she shows up and attacks, I've never seen this woman before and have no clue who she is.

In May 2015 I returned to work, walking minimally with a cane.

On June 24, 2016, the same mystery blond woman with her hair now dyed rusted reddish blond, woman, this time driving a late 1990s vintage gold Volvo 240 station wagon, drove up beside my car, while I was putting groceries in my car at Scarborough Walmart, jumped out, grabbed an empty shopping cart from the shopping cart corral, and attacked again, same as she did with golf club three years earlier. This attack is the one which caused worse damage, and I have still not yet recovered from now in 2025.

In the 2016 attack, her hair was dyed an unnatural burgundy red, with slight grey roots growing out, the same unnatrually straitened pageboy style, and she was wearing a burgundy sweater that time.
