The Adventures of Quaraun The Insane - A Pink Necromancer Short Fiction Story

What is the series about?

It's three god-level planet destroying alien invader Space Elf, Space Faerie, Space Demon wizards, with big global domination plans, whom have invaded 40th century Earth, settled in a lighthouse in Maine, are hellbent on destroying all Humans and taking over the planet, but never getting anything done because they are too busy throwing temper tantrums, having hissy fits, and flinging food, sea slugs, insults, and sexual tension at each other to get around to destroying the planet.

It's slice-of-life survival horror in a post-apocalyptic necromantic dictatorship, told through dysfunctional domestic intimacy between soul-stealing villains who rule the world. Welcome to the spiralling madness of Quaraun’s eldritch, sensory-heavy, character-driven, neurotic, dysfunctional, intimate, sugar-dusted Fae-punk world. This is the hostile, dystopian, necromantic, and hyper-sensory domestic horror of Quaraun’s everyday life with BoomFuzzy (and sometimes GhoulSpawn), in a grim world ruled by undead Faerie warlords where society has collapsed and survival is brutal, intimate, and corrupt, and Humans are often on the menu of UnSeelie Court feasts.

Crimson skies shatter,
Waves lash out with frothy teeth,
The horizon bleeds.

The waves crash red as twilight dies,
A tempest burns in bleeding skies.
The ocean roars with ceaseless rage,
Its fury penned on nature’s page.

Sun sinks in despair,
Each ripple devours its light,
Wrath consumes the sea.

The shore recoils from every blow,
The rocks erode, the tide will grow.
Yet in its wrath, I see my pain,
A mirrored grief in wind and rain.

My heart echoes this,
Endless tides of grief and rage,
Unicorn, guide me.

My Unicorn, the sea reflects,
The heart’s wild storm, its raw defects.
A violent love, a fragile ache,
Each wave a vow it dares to break.

Rocks gnash at the waves,
The shore screams beneath their weight,
Nature’s fury reigns.

The setting sun ignites the tide,
A fire blooms where sorrows hide.
Its beauty masks the anger there,
A haunting song on burning air.

I watch and wonder,
If my soul, too, is a storm,
Drowning all in fire.

The sea devours what it can find,
As Humans do, with careless mind.
I mourn for what the world has lost,
To nature’s rage and mankind’s cost.

BoomFuzzy once said,
Angry seas reflect the heart,
But storms calm in love.

Oh, angry sea, your voice I hear,
A bitter song of loss and fear.
Yet in your storm, a strange delight,
For beauty thrives in darkest night.

As the day dissolves,
Darkness soothes the ocean’s rage,
Peace whispers through night.

The sun has set, the waves relent,
Their fiery rage and anger spent.
The sea sleeps on, its battle won,
Beneath the stars where love begun.
