What is the series about?
It's three god-level planet destroying alien invader Space Elf, Space Faerie, Space Demon wizards, with big global domination plans, whom have invaded 40th century Earth, settled in a lighthouse in Maine, are hellbent on destroying all Humans and taking over the planet, but never getting anything done because they are too busy throwing temper tantrums, having hissy fits, and flinging food, sea slugs, insults, and sexual tension at each other to get around to destroying the planet.
It's slice-of-life survival horror in a post-apocalyptic necromantic dictatorship, told through dysfunctional domestic intimacy between soul-stealing villains who rule the world. Welcome to the spiralling madness of Quaraun’s eldritch, sensory-heavy, character-driven, neurotic, dysfunctional, intimate, sugar-dusted Fae-punk world. This is the hostile, dystopian, necromantic, and hyper-sensory domestic horror of Quaraun’s everyday life with BoomFuzzy (and sometimes GhoulSpawn), in a grim world ruled by undead Faerie warlords where society has collapsed and survival is brutal, intimate, and corrupt, and Humans are often on the menu of UnSeelie Court feasts.

The Blue Monkey sailed smoothly across the North Atlantic, a rare and daring venture to test its seaworthiness. The salty, briny scent of the ocean permeated the air, mingling with the fresh breeze that swept across the deck.
Quaraun stood at the bow, the strong ocean wind tousling his long silver hair. Gracefully, his resplendent pink silks billowed around him.
BoomFuzzy, as he worked in the kitchen, tinkering with new recipes, filled the air with the clattering of utensils and sizzling of ingredients, making plans for next season’s food truck menu.
GhoulSpawn diligently monitored the engines. GhoulSpawn checked the gauges and dials, ensuring everything was functioning properly. His fingers glided over the cool surfaces of the gauges and dials, feeling the smoothness of their operation.
Their hands trembled, and their brows furrowed, showing the tension they felt. Their hearts raced, their bodies tingling with the pulsating energy of excitement.
The creaking of the boat’s timbers echoed through the air as it struggled against the powerful waves. The riverboat’s design did not account for the vast and often tumultuous ocean. Their nerves were on edge. Excitement pulsed through them. This was her first time out on the ocean, and none of them knew what to expect.
Quaraun admired the endless expanse of the ocean. Quaraun felt the cool mist of the ocean on his skin, a gentle reminder of its power and beauty. Having once been a JellyFish who lived in the ocean, now trapped in the body of a land dwelling Elf, Quaraun felt an immense draw to be in the salt water once again. It was all he could do to prevent himself from just jumping in. But this Elf’s body would drown.
BoomFuzzy emerged from the kitchen, balancing a tray of warm, flakey pastries, and joined the JellyElf on deck.
“It’s different, isn’t it? From the river,” Quaraun said to BoomFuzzy. “The thunderous roar of crashing waves against the rugged cliffs echos in my ears, emphasizing the immense power of the sea. So vast and powerful. The intoxicating scent fills my nostrils, leaving me spellbound. So mesmerizing. It has captivated my sight and held my gaze. I can feel its magnetic pull, as if it’s reaching out to touch me. It calls to me. It entices me to join it.
“Aye, tis like nothing else.”
“I miss it. Living under the water. I can never see my home again. No matter how much I want to, I can never return. The top of the ocean is so different then below. Above the surface, the ocean sparkled in the sunlight, with waves crashing and seagulls soaring. Yet below the waves is another world, quiet, peaceful, fish swimming everywhere. I had such beautiful long pink frills. I used to swim in the ocean deep. Swimming with the corals and anemones. The sleek, sinuous bodies of the moray eels slithering through the coral reef. I can almost feel the gentle brush of the manta rays’ smooth, velvety skin against my fingertips. The massive whales gracefully gliding through the vast ocean, their sleek bodies creating ripples in the water. There is nothing above the waves that can compare with the world deep beneath the surface. Like two completely different worlds. I was their queen. I was the most beautiful thing in the ocean.”
“Yis would never met me or the goat, if ya had no be trapped in de Elf.”
“I’m a sheep,” GhoulSpawn muttered as he joined them.
“I know. I just like to hear ya say it.”
Quaraun’s eyes locked onto BoomFuzzy, his gaze filled with intensity. “I do not regret being with either of you. You know that.”
“Eh. Sometimes I wonder. I do thinks, iffy ya got get out of the Elf and return to the sea, ya would.”
“I’m a JellyFish. I don’t belong on land. I don’t belong in this Elf.”
“BoomFuzzy’s right,” GhoulSpawn stated. “You’d leave us if you could.”
“But I can’t. So you’ve nothing to worry about. How’s the ship doing?”
“She’s doing fine, better than I expected. This boat weren’t made for oceans, but she’s twice the size of most ocean vessels. And I rebuilt the engines as you asked. Extra layers on the hull. We could probably sail her to Europe if you wanted to. If Europe still exists. Does Europe still exist?”
“Aye,” BoomFuzzy answered. “The landmass is still there. But the countries, governments, political boundaries? Eh. They is all the same as here in America and Canada. Nothing. All the world governments your know in the 20th century is all gone. No cities. No people. Just endless ice and snow. What ya see here in Maine, the whole world is like this. Nothing survived the comet.”
“Do you remember the world before the comet hit?”
“Aye. I do. Quaraun does not. Him too young. I were King of Scotland when it happened. And Scotland took over the world. We decimated all the governments. Fat lot of good it did us once the comet struck. Twenty-one billion people died that day. Comet hit the moon. The moon fractured. All the obits of all the planets changed. Mercury and got sucked into the sun. Fragments of the Mars and blew it up. The dust from the comet, the Moon, and Mars, hang low in the atmosphere, blocking out the sunlight. Now Earth is a frozen wasteland.”
“Are you sure it’s the entire planet? Everything’s frozen?”
“Aye. Me and Quaraun, have travelled the whole planet. All the continents. Africa. South America. Australia. Papua New Guinea, where I was originally from. All the countries. Quebec. Brazil. China. Persia. Egypt. All the major cities. New York. Paris. Tokyo. They’re all gone. Everything. It’s the same everywhere. Ice. Snow. Giant blue crystals growing out of the ground every place the comet debris landed. Massive herds of of undead moving in thousands per herb. One or two straggling, survivor families, that had the foresight to lock themselves in underground bunkers when they saw the comet in the sky. These settlement camps we visit, none has more than two hundred people. And each is hundreds of miles between. You’ve seen, what’s left of Boston.”
“The GodForsaken City? You said that was Boston?”
“Aye. The GodForsaken City is the biggest settlement on the planet, they haven’t got five hundred people. By my best guess, there is fewer than seven million people, left alive, on the entire planet. We can sail to to Europe if ya want to see it Ghouly. But don no expect to find any more life there then here. You be a long ways away from ya 1970s.”
“Could we make a trip to Europe?” Quaraun asked GhoulSpawn. “The Blue Monkey was a riverboat after all. Big difference between river currents and ocean waves. Fresh water and salt water.”
“Engines are holding up. We’re making good speed,” GhoulSpawn answered. “With the all the changes we made to her, yeah, I think she’d make an ocean voyage quite well.”
Quaraun nodded. “Well, perhaps we should make plans to visit Europe again. It has been a long time since we checked on survivors in that part of the world.”
“How’d you get there before?”
“I had a different boat. A pirate ship.”
“A pirate ship?”
“Yes. We discovered it amongst the crumbling remains of the once-vibrant amusement park in Florida. I don’t think it was intended to be used on the ocean. But, we had a Leprechaun travelling with us back then, and he knew some people who fixed it up, so we went to Africa, and worked our way up.”
As they continued their journey, the ocean remained relatively calm, and their confidence grew. The ocean stretched out before them like a vast expanse of tranquil blue, instilling a sense of serenity. They discussed ship modifications to make future ocean voyages more comfortable. They studied blueprints and design sketches, envisioning spacious cabins and luxurious lounges on the ship.
Suddenly, out of nowhere, the sky darkened, and the sea churned. The clear blue sky transformed into a foreboding dark canopy, casting an eerie shadow over the surroundings. A deep, foreboding rumble echoed from beneath the waves.
Quaraun’s pink pupiled, crystal blue eyes widened as he looked over the edge.
“Something’s not right.”
The water around The Blue Monkey bubbled and frothed, churning and gurgling violently.
The engines roared with a deafening rumble as GhoulSpawn fought to keep them steady.
BoomFuzzy clung to the railing. The creaking of the railing echoed through the air as BoomFuzzy held on firmly.
“What’s happening?” GhoulSpawn asked. His heart raced, palms grew clammy. He could feel the tension in the air, thick and heavy. His anxiety soared.
A massive tentacle shot out of the water, wrapping around the hull of The Blue Monkey. The deafening crash of the waves and the creaking of the boat’s structure filled the air. The boat lurched violently, nearly capsizing.
Quaraun clung to the rail, his heart pounding so hard he feared he would faint.
“What is that?”
GhoulSpawn’s golden pleco eyes widened in horror. A bitter taste flooded GhoulSpawn’s mouth, like a metallic tang of dread.
“An abyssal creature. We’ve sailed into its territory.”
“The engines are struggling! We need to get out of here, now!” GhoulSpawn shouted from below deck.
Quaraun, BoomFuzzy, and GhoulSpawn sprang into action.
Quaraun grabbed the wheel, trying to steer them away from the monstrous tentacles. BoomFuzzy ran to the engine room to assist GhoulSpawn, who was furiously working to keep the engines running.
The Blue Monkey shuddered as another tentacle wrapped around it.
Quaraun gritted his teeth, steering with all his strength.
“We need more power!”
BoomFuzzy and GhoulSpawn boosted the engines, and the riverboat surged forward.
The tentacles strained against the hull, but the increased speed tore them free.
With a final, desperate lurch, The Blue Monkey broke free from the creature’s grasp, speeding away from the danger.
Breathless and shaken, the trio gathered on the deck.
Quaraun’s crippled hands trembled as he released the wheel.
“What was that?”
BoomFuzzy wiped the sweat from his brow.
“Something from the depths. We must be more careful where we sail.”
GhoulSpawn nodded, his face pale.
“We’ll need to inspect the hull for damage, but we made it through.”
They spent the next few hours checking the ship for any signs of harm, ensuring its safety. They meticulously inspected every nook and cranny of the ship, scanning for even the slightest hint of damage or danger.
Remarkably, The Blue Monkey had held up well.
As night fell, they anchored in a safer spot, far from the abyssal threat.
Quaraun peered into the still, obsidian waters, a combination of amazement and unease washing over him.
“We faced something incredible today.”
BoomFuzzy placed a comforting hand on his shoulder.
“Aye, but we survived. And The Blue Monkey proved it can handle the ocean.”
The trio stood together on the deck, united by their harrowing experience and ready to continue their journey, no matter what the depths might throw at them.
