I got so sick of self-righteous do goodies telling me I needed content warnings because of my trans main character, so I wrote this, and started slapping it on all of my work:

This is one of those stories that requires a trigger warning for certain insensitive, dip shit bigots, who like to have themselves crybaby sensitive snowflake hissy fits over transgendered people. *NAME REMOVED FOR REDDIT*, the main character of the series, is transgender, and it rarely gets brought up in any story, so it is rare that I need to put up a trigger warning for the fucktards who get triggered by trans people. However, this story mentions the main character’s transgender nature, which has been known to cause some readers to have self righteous holier than though mental breakdowns, offline, at my home, in my driveway, because transgender people upset them so much that they felt the need to hunt me down and show up at my house. So, if you are the type of dickwad piss ant who feels the need to beat up pregnant women with golf clubs and murder 8 month old infants with the same golf club because you encountered a fictional transgender Elf in a Fantasy fiction story: fuck off.   • Also… before there was Quaraun, there was Lythande by Marion Zimmer Bradly… the FIRST intersex, transgender homeless Gypsy mage, part of The Mists of Avalone series, which spans dozens of books throughout the 1970s & 1980s, all featuring an intersex, female to male mage main character:

  • In any case, the Town Hall of the town of Old Orchard Beach, Maine, via the York County Sherriff via the Biddeford District Court, on January 4, 2016, demanded that due to gay couples being portrayed as living in the “family friendly town of Old Orchard Beach”, my series requires trigger warnings, content warnings, and an M18+ rating, to warn people it is “erotica”, even though it has nothing remotely sexual in it and was written for an age 8 to 14 reader age group.

In short: I experiment a LOT with mixing genres and formats, so you never quite know for certain what you will get. The entire series is a great big mix bag of a little bit of this and that all smooshed together.

While none of the novellas or novels are on Medium, they are written in the same method of mashing together lots of ill fitting, disjointed, puzzle pieces of bits of unfinished scenes, and so do not read in the typical smooth flow one normally would expect to find in a novella or novel.

This disjointed mix bag nature of the series is a deliberate style, intended to show case the disjointed nature in how Quaraun the Insane sees the world.

I’ve always been very vocal about my beliefs and boy does that piss a lot of people off, but, hell, I’m not going to change how I feel just to gain a few extra views.

My writing has always been controversial, because my main character is a trans man (born female, lives as a male) and I started the series in 1978, it celebrates its 50th anniversary in 2028, 4 years from now. But weirdly, it remained largely ignored by LGBTQ haters, until 2013, just 11 years ago, when a local pastor found out I not only wrote gay romance, but with a trans main character.

And now the last few months because trans topics are in the news lately, I’m suddenly getting hate from family, including my husband.

My husband, whom I’ve been with since 1987, and and who was fully aware I wrote gay romance, a thing I had been doing over a decade before I met him, has suddenly after three decades of being okay with what I wrote, suddenly has been screaming and yelling and flinging ultimatums around demanding I stop writing a series I have been writing for nearly five decades, because as he puts it, it’s an embarrassment to him, his friends, his family, and his church… oddly the friends he’s referring to are people he met at a Trump MAGA rally less than a year ago, and he’s threatening divorce just to keep up appearances with a “god hates fag’s” group he’s started going to protests with.

What the hell?

You DO realize that it is HIS OWN SON who was murdered by a gang of fucking “God Hates Fags” jackasses who mistook me for being male to female transgender while I was 8 months pregnant, right?

And now he’s joined forces with the VERY SAME FUCKING GROUP that murdered his son?

His 8 month old infant son was MURDERED , his head bashed in with a golf club— while they were screaming that I was a gay Erotica write, something that anyone who has ever ACTUALLY READ my books, is fully aware I am not — I’ve never written a sex scene in my life — and yet he himself now calls my books gay Erotica, my own Huband who has hundreds of paperback copies of my books laying around everywhere, he could pick them up and read them himseld… but no, he’d rather LIE about what I write, to show off to his fucking gay hating friends…
