2018 April/May/June Update:

As you know, most of the year I publish 2 to 3 articles a day.

However, every year during convention season, I take a break from that to go full swing CosPlay.

From early April 2018 to late June 2018, article posting schedule will be sporadic, while CosPlay Season and Convention events are going full swing.

During this time period, you can expect most, possible all new articles to be focused on costume making, CosPlay, and the characters I'm CosPlaying.

UPDATE: It's now divided into 7 pages. The primary page "Meet Avallach" is now over 20,000 words long. At this rate, it'll cross 60,000 long before the costume is finished, and that's not including the other 5 pages. The primary page has now crossed 60,000 89,000 words and counting, the whole set of Avallac'h pages are now more than 200,000 words long, and more then 500 pictures of Avallac'h and his friends have now been uploaded on these pages, plus there are now 400+ hour-long videos f the costume making process as we record live, every second of this insanely elaborate, over the top CosPlay project.

As of May 19, just 29 days to PortCon we are embroidering his blue coat in a countdown against the clock to finish in time for the event, while we pray that The Dazzling Razzberry will be re-weilded back together and drivable in time for PortCon, after it's recent vandalism by Old Orchard Beach's ever growing Ku Klux Klan problem.

There will still be daily updates, but the BULK of the daily updates will be limited to the pages linked here:

  1. The Avallac'h CosPlay: Who is Avallac'h?
  2. Obsession: Meet Avallac'h
  3. [NSFW] Avallac'h & His Nude Women | Witcher 3 Game Screenshots
  4. Historical Accuracy vs Avallac'h (to go live later this summer)
  5. The Avallac'h CosPlay Costume Making Vlogs (will go live AFTER finishing the costume)
  6. How To Make The Avallac'h CosPlay (will go live AFTER PortCon)
  7. How Much Did It Cost? ($800+ will run to around $3,000) Budgeting The Avallac'h CosPlay (eing written as the costume is being made, will go live after completion of the costume)
  8. Why do children CosPlay rapists & rape victims? & WHY Avallac'h is a M18+ character.
  9. PortConMaine 2018
  10. On Being a Handicapped CosPlayer: A Look At Events of PortConMaine 2017 That Resulted In 3 Disabled CosPlayers Getting hurt at The Convention and How These Things Could Have Been Avoided

After PortCon Update:

PortCon 2018 is over... but the making of the Avallac'h CosPlay is not. It is not possible to make a costume as detailed as I'm making in fewer then 400 hours, and only 129 hours went into the simplified first run version you saw at PortCon'18. The complete version will not be seen until PortCon'19

If you want to see this costume in person and watch it's progression onward as I continue to expand it... I'll be wearing it at the monthly Maine Association of CosPlay Enthusiasts (M.A.C.E.) events, throughout 2018 and 2019, you are welcome to join us. The list of current events can be found here: This list is updated monthly, so be sure to check back often to find all the dates, locations, and details of events.

FAQ About Quaraun:
Why does the world's most powerful and most evil Wizard/Necromancer wear pink?

For several years now I keep getting asked what it is with Quaraun and pink. Why does this evil Necromancer Elf King, obsessively wear pink. I've never gotten around to answering that question. It sits here on my questions to be answered list and just never comes up next on the list, until today that is.

Today I was on Reddit and I found a question that has nothing to do with Quaraun, but the answer to their question, turns out to be the exact same answer as to this question:

Why does the world's most powerful and most evil Wizard/Necromancer wear pink?

Well, the thing one must remember is the fact that the story is set mostly in the 1400s. Quaraun was born in 938 and lives 750 years, and most of the novels in the series are set while he's 450 to 550 years old. What does the year the story is set in have to do with why he wears pink?

Well, that's quite simple really: real world men of magic in the 1400s wore pink and you know me and my thing for historical accuracy. Yep, there actually is a historically accurate reason why Quaraun wears pink. And, yes, it is all about penises. You knew it would be. Is there anything in the Quaraun series that isn't somehow about penises? I mean, it IS Yaoi after all; the genre that is built around glorifying penises on parade.

So you know ahead of time, if penises bother you, you probably don't want to read past this point as just about every sentence after this is going to talk about penises and, yeah, if you don't know the Quaraun series... it's CBT, cock and ball torture... that features real world Medieval torture devices and male genitals gorily mutilated by them. If you think you can stomach mutilated penises, continue on, if not... well, you've been warned.

But anyways, here's that question of Reddit and my answer to it, and well, if you know anything about the Quaraun series, which is Yaoi, you'll soon figure out why Qaraun wears pink...

The gender of my characters

The gender of my characters from r/writing

AdviceThe gender of my characters (self.writing)submitted 12 hours ago by -Inkwell-

Ok so I have a group of 7 main characters in my book. I wrote them as 5 boys 2 girls. The thing is, I’m worried about what people will say about them. I’m worried that if people were to read it, people would be mad because the girls are outnumbered. Also, it’s too long to explain, but each character represents a color. The girls both represent pink and purple. I’m worried people would call me sexist for giving them “girl colors”. Am I overthinking or not?

This is true about purple being for royalty, historically. There were also laws in place (in certain regions, Rome for example) where wearing purple was punishable by death, if you were NOT a member of the royal family.

Aso, in regards to pink... in most of Europe from around 800 to around 1600, especially in Germany, France, and England, it was ILLEGAL for a female to wear pink, as pink was the "colour of manhood" (a reference to the colour of the penis) and only nobleman and aristocrats of various ranks were allowed to wear pink.

Pink was considered a manly colour and nobleman who did NOT own a few pink jerkins were often accused of being "sodomites" be virtue of their not being proud to wear "the colour of their manhood".

Pink did not go out of fashion for men until the mid-1800s and pink was not accepted as the colour worn by little girls until the 1950s when women began using pink as part of the feminist movement. Pink (the colour of the penis) began to be worn by women the same time they also began to wear pants and started fighting for their right to work and have jobs.

Pink was not seen as a girly-girl colour until the late 1970s, and this was largely due to Mattel's Malibu Barbie embracing her right to wear the colour of the penis by having a pink dream house and a pink corvette.

If you look up the history of the colour pink, you will find it ha a wild and radical penis glorifying history and has been seen as the colour for girls for a little less than 50 years now. And would never have become the colour of little girls, had Mattel toy company not been run by a famous "Shirtless Seven" from the 1970s.

I use colour symbolism in my novels, very heavily. The main character, Necromancer King, Quaraun, the World's Most Powerful Wizard also known as The Pink Necromancer, always wears pink, because his is a very arrogant, woman-hating prick; his lover (King Gwallmaiic aka BoomFuzzy the Unicorn) wears black and purple because he's evil and royalty; his other lover (GhoulSpawn the Crazed) wears orange because he's strong willed but hides it under green because he's shy.

I am also a Voodoo Priestess and use colour magic, matching up colours of my robes and candles and prayer clothes to the intent of the spell being cast.

I like it when authors use colour as symbolism in their fantasy cultures. I love seeing how they take it and how they translate the meaning of each colour in their own worlds, especially seeing how they are different from or the same as real world symbolism.

I think the history of symbolism around colours is fascinating. I also love how each culture is different: for example in Medieval Asia, women wore red which was seen as empowering to women, and was always worn as the colour of their wedding dresses yet in that same time period in Europe, women shunned red seeing it as the colour of whores. It's fascinating to see how different cultures translate the meanings of different colour.

So that was the reddit question and my answer to it. But back to Quaraun.

If you are not familiar with the series or his character, then you may find yourself confused about his wearing pink.

A few things to consider:

In our very real world Medival & Renaissance times:

  • society was obsessed with the penis
  • prior to this period most men were circumcised
  • MOST of the world was Jewish or Muslim and therefore most men were circumcised
  • a newly formed religion known as Christians considered circumcised men to be savage heathens
  • Christian men were prone to pulling down a random man's hose, to check if he had a foreskin or not
  • men found to not have a foreskin could be killed by a Christian without punishment, as circumcision was seen as proof the man was Jewish or Muslim and therefore a servant of Satan
  • Pagans, Celts, Heathens, and Druids were not circumcised
  • Christians in order to punish Pagans for refusing to become Christian, would circumcise them to mark them as "satanic"
  • these circumcised men could now be burned for the sin of witchcraft, they could be proven to be witches seeing how they lacked a foreskin
  • the rise of Christianity resulted in an obsession with penises
  • if a Christian man didn't like his neighbour, he could circumcise his neighbour, then accuse his neighbour of being a witch, then drag his neighbour into the town square, show the magistrate "see he has no foreskin, therefore he is a witch" and the neighbour would be executed without a trial
  • pink was the "colour of manhood" (a reference to the colour of the penis)
  • in most of Europe from around 800 to around 1600, especially in Germany, France, and England, it was ILLEGAL for a female to wear pink
  • only nobleman and aristocrats of various ranks were allowed to wear pink
  • Pink was considered a manly colour
  • nobleman who did NOT own a few pink jerkins, tunics, or hose were often accused of being "sodomites" be virtue of their not being proud to wear "the colour of their manhood"

These real world taboos and beliefs are used in the Quaraun series.

If you've made it this far... the content is about to get VERY GRAPHIC.

This is your last chance to turn back.

You have been warned.

Now let's look at some of the facts about the Quaraun series:

  • Quaraun is the heir to the Elven throne, next in line to be king, and therefore a nobelmen and an aristocrate
  • Quaraun is bi-sexual, and though he uses women, he also uses men, and this brands him a "sodomite" by both real world standards and the laws of his fictional society
  • Quaraun is uncut/uncircumcised and thus still has his foreskin
  • However, Quaraun is a Pagan, not a Christian and therefore is seen as evil
  • Meaning there is a point in his life when an angry mob drags him into the town square, strips him naked, and attempts to castrate and/or circumcised him (it is unclear which they intended to do)
  • whatever they intended to do, what they did do, was to push a knife into his penis and then pull is downward, slicing the underside of his penis, completly in half
  • though his foreskin is largely undamaged, the penis inside it, is severed lengthwise from the base to the tip, on the underside, in what is known as a "sub-penal incision"
  • the injury healed, leaving Quaraun unable to pee properly, and unable to engage in sexual intercourse easily;
  • though he can still have sex, it is difficult, painful, and embarrassing for him to do so
  • Quaraun suffers from massive psychological damage as aresults of this injury
  • Prior to this public attack and mutilation of his penis, Quaraun is seen wearing blue, not pink
  • After this mob mutilated his penis, Quaraun takes to wearing pink, and doing so on extremes
  • While Quaraun is a very feminine looking Elf, he becomes very upset and offended if someone mistakes him for a female
  • After being mutilated, Quaraun is no longer able to easily have sex with women (or men) and begins to submit to other men instead
  • Though now primarily a bottom to other men during sex, he previously wasn't and is often seen throughout the series bemoaning the fact that he can no longer use women
  • Over the course of the series, Quaraun becomes increasingly more obsessed with and bitter because of his being mutilated
  • The more obsessed Quaraun becomes with his mutilated penis, the more violent he becomes towards women AND the more overly pink his cloths become
  • it is his mutilated penis, that causes him to become a serial killer, as he takes to killing any woman who laughs at him or teases him about his injury
Sub Penal Incision: A real world photo of Quaraun's injury
  • when he does find a woman who is not bothered by the injury, she eventually goes on to become his wife; the series takes a dark bloody turn when she is murdered by yet another mob, resulting in Quaraun's going on his infamous bloody rampage at Ongadada
  • after murdering 31 billion people across 3 solar systems, he builds The Twighlight Manor and puts his dead wife's soul into it, causing the house to come to life and start eating everyone that gets near it
  • had the mob not mutilated his penis early on in volume 3 of the series, Quaraun would not have gone on to either wear pink or become the mass murdering madman he eventually becomes

In short, after being mutilated by the mob, Quaraun becomes completely obsessed with his penis. He lives in an era when all men were overly obsessed with penises in general, and the level of a man's being good vs evil was measured by whether or not his penis was intact. The more foreskin and the less scaring a man had, the more godly and saintly he was seen as, whereas the less foreskin and more scarring he had, the more evil he was seen as.

And thus you have you answer for why Quaraun wears pink.

And for those wondering where I got the idea for this whole thing:

The hanging tree scene from the novel BoomFuzzy, when Quaraun is mutilated by the mob, is based off a real life event that happened to a real life gay man here in Old Orchard Beach, Maine.

The real man, was 15 years old and wore a pink tuxedo to a school dance; he was striped naked, tied to the back bumper of an Old Orchard Beach police car, dragged for 14 miles to Rotary Park in near-by Biddeford, Maine, where he was hung by his ankles from the top of New England's largest flagpole; his genitals were mutilated, and he was left hanging upside down, bleeding profusely for 5 days before someone found him; in addition to his injuries he also suffered frostbite, and brain damage as a result of blood pooling in his brain.

I know a real man in real life, who really was hunted down by gay-haters, stripped naked and sexually mutilated; he suffered serious mental, emotional, and physical trauma and was never able to mentally recover from what the local gay haters of Old Orchard Beach And Biddeford, Maine did to him.
