FAQ: What are the most visited pages on this website and how many visits do they get?

Several years ago, I wrote an article on how to write different types of magic uses, or rather how I personally write various types of magic users within the context of my Quaraun books. Today that page is one of my top ten most visited articles. It gets 50 to 500 views/reads/hits/visits per day depending on the time of the years and has had over 200k visits total since it was published.

Amphibious Aliens: Debunking The Atwater Family's Alien Abduction Hoax with more then 30MILLION reads since 2007 and The GoldenEagle: Debunking Stephen King's World's Most Haunted Car Hoax with over tenMILLION reads since 2007 still rank as the two most visited articles on my website, but, neither of those are writing related.

Writing Medieval Servants is my most visited writing related article with over 7MILLION reads.

This website was started in 1996 and has 1 to 3 new articles (all written by me, I am the only writer on this site) published almost daily. In 2017 we crossed ten thousand articles published. As of 2023, EACH article gets MINIMUM 10 to 70 reads PER DAY, with the high traffic articles getting 500+ reads per day.

And since December 2019, my website now gets three hundred thousand to 7 million reads per month - well over ONE HUNDRED MILLION PAGE READS PER YEAR, making it not only the single most trafficked site in the State of Maine, but also one of the most visited websites in ALL OF NEW ENGLAND!

{{{HUGS}}} Thank you to all my readers for making this possible!

Are You REALLY Qualified To Teach How To Earn Money Online?

Re: Need Opinion From All Respected Seniors

Need Opinion From All Respected Seniors

 #1389633  by M.Zahid from [NO DOMAIN YET]-[Lahore]

Hello everyone, i am zahid here, i need opinion from you guys. I have worked hard almost invest 2 weeks on day 2 to finalize niche. After lot of research and investigation i come to end on choosing a niche of "earn money online" as i am already running a blog on ways of earning money online and getting success too (not too big though), have knowledge and passion in this direction also. Now SENIORS please let me know should i go with it using SBI platform or not?

Are You REALLY Qualified To Teach How To Earn Money Online?

What is it you call "success (not too big though)"?

If your blog has under 10k views a month, I personally would not classify it as successful, but I've seen a lot of bloggers get 100 views a month and think they had a successful blog. So it's a matter of perspective.

What "knowledge in that direction" do you have? Meaning, how long have you been living full time off your online income without any need for a job offline? If you are not living 100% full time off your blog's income then I don't think you are even close to having enough knowledge to teach someone else how to do it.

I mean... if I need brain surgery, I'm gonna go to the brain surgeon who had 20 years of medical school, I'm not gonna go to the drunk rummy on the street who's waving a knife around and saying "Look at me I'm a ...hic... brain... hic.. surgeon! Woooooooo!"

In that same light, if I'm looking to earn money online, I'm gonna look for the guy who earns at minimum $20,000 a year off his blog, rather the the random Joe who made $10 last month and thought that qualified him to teach me how to earn money.

Can you see my point here?

I don't know you from the next guy, so I have no idea what your online income is, what your experience is, etc... but I do know that someone who makes money online, is also someone who very advanced in building websites and would have no trouble deciding what to build his next website on, so would not be on a forum asking if he should make a site on this or that. And your question does sound like you've never built a website before and really are probably in over your head big time.

People who ACTUALLY make money online and start sites telling others how to do it, already have 4 or 5 or 10 pr 12 or 100 websites that they have built, and in their earning money online site, they will list all their stats and credientions, pointing out: "I made this much money doing this, and here's the site I did it on, so you can see the PROOF that I did it."

MOST of the dime a dozen earn money online sites that poop up are made by people who never made money online and only think they know how to do because they read about how someone else did it, and, then they think they can just start a site and rehash something someone else said, then sit back and watch money roll in. And then a few months after starting their site they start asking "Why am I not making money yet?" Uhm... well, why are they trying to teach people how to do a thing they themselves are not doing, might be a better question?

My opinion on sites that teach how to make money online is this:

If the site owner has not yet made at MINIMUM $10,000 from online income, then they are not qualified to teach me (who makes WAY more then that online) how to make money online and probably has a lot of MMO techniques they could learn from me, that they have never even considered.

I've been making money online since 1996, by the way.

MMO has been my hobby income since 1996, my part-time income since 2007, and my full-time income since 2013.

Wanting to earn money online is NOT a passion, it's something you do WITH your passion.

If you were making a million dollars a year online, right now, what would you spend the money on?

Whatever you said to answer that question... THAT is your passion and what you should make a site about.

The THING that you dream of doing with the money you earn, is your passion, not the act of earning the money to do that thing.

Now, if you were Scrooge McDuck, and collected money for the sole purpose of swimming in it, because swimming in money was your passion, then yes, earning money would be your passion. But Scrooge McDuck is a cartoon character and I've yet to meet a real person who actually was passionate about earning money. What I have meet instead are people who are passionate to earn money BECAUSE they want to ____. The item in the ____ is the passion that drives them to seek money.

For example:

I am passionate to earn money online because I want to buy comic books.

Comic Books is the passion, not earning money. The person gets confused though because they become obsessed with earning money so they can afford the comic books.

In this case, with the desire being to use the money to buy comic books, this means that person is passionate about comic books, meaning that they should make a web site about comic books, the history of comics, a data base listing a complete run of Uncle Scrooge McDuck comics books (there is a web site out there that does this, I know because I built because, I'm personally passionate about Uncle Scrooge comic books, thus why I used it as an example.)

In 1996, I wanted to earn money to buy comic books. That was my goal. And that is why back then I had several websites about comic books.

But I've never had a website about making money online. Nor have I ever read a website about making money online and I have no plans to start doing so either.

Do you want to know how I make money online?

I'll tell you, and if you are someone cut out for making money online yourself, you'll already know and be doing this... but if you're not... you may be in for one hell of a shock as to just exactly what it takes to be "successful" in online money making...

I average 3 to 5 posts a day and this is my full time income.

What topic is the site? I'm an author (Fantasy Novels, about an Elf wizard) and the site is how-to write help guides/advice for newbie writers and content marketers; mixed in with updates of events from my daily life, and sample chapters from my novels; the bulk of the site is how to world build, how to create characters, how to write short stories, and how to write novels. The site's primary keyword and niche topic being "Novel Writing Tips"

I write the code for the site, including the mega massive javascript codes, which result in all the videos, images, etc on each page being different every time you refresh the page.

The random generator on my site has a code so big that it will spit of 57 million story writing prompts without ever duplicating itself. And that page published in 2004 is another of the top 10 most visited pages.

The site is monetized with my books for sell, my art for sale, AsSence, with most of my AdSense coming not from the site itself, but rather from my daily YouTube vlogs that are embedded into the site, I'm also a YouTube gamer in addition to being a YouTube vlogger. Affiliate income is minimal and barely noticable. Meaning more 90% of my income is from my own products (novels, short stories, paintings, and videos).

As you can see from my car:

my website is painted on the car and thus I have a high rate of local traffic, plus I live on a beach that gets 2million tourists each summer and I park my car at the intersection of the boardwalk to the beach and pose in character with my car for the tourists:

Here's me at a Con as the character from my novels:

My motorhome also parked on the beach:

also has my website url painted on it is 2 foot letters.

Being an author of Yaoi, I go to conventions, and mobbed by screaming fangirls.

Because I teach novel writing at community centers, workshops, and conventions, it means I have to write my own curriculum. As these classes tend to be one-hour long lecture based workshops with students who I've never seen before and will never see again, it's easier then creating a full semester curricula for a High School class (which is what I was trained to do in college - my final "paper" assignment for the last Education class, was to create a 70 page outline for the curricula I planed to design once I had a teaching job).

Because I teach outside of a school setting, I have to be constantly applying for booth/tent/room space at various outlets.

Because in my novel writing career, I'm a professional Yaoi writer, you often see me focusing on comic book, gamers, anime, and geek cons, where I both CosPlay my Ukes and Semes.

You want to be a big hit at conventions: do anything with any connection to Yaoi... the rooms rarely fit more then 60 people in a class, yet 300 to 500 people line up and try to cram into the room. Authors teaching the Yaoi classes get assigned hotel guards, just to get them into the lecture rooms without getting crushed by crazed screaming fangirls. Yaoi events attract the biggest crowds, and are the most dangerous events to run, requiring hotel security protecting the event guest, guards at the doors of the classroom... partly because of the screaming fangirls, but mostly because of groups like the KKK and Westboro Baptist Church, both of whom you'll have following you from Con to Con, waving signs, and chanting anti-gay hysteria, throwing rocks... a bomb blew up my house, the KKK left a big white cross behind in the ruble... the dark side of being a Yaoi author, and the REASON so many Yaoi authors write under pennames and don't reveal their real identities.

Believe me, you have never seen screaming fangirls, until you become a Yaoi author and walk into an anime con. The last Con I was at the hotel had to put guards around my car because so many people were climbing on it tto get pictures.

But getting the "job" of doing this, involves writing the novels, publishing the novels, gaining a fan following big enough that cons want you as part of their event (the Con's goal is the get as many paying customers in the hotel as possible, meaning the bigger name the author is the better, many won't accept an author if they aren't "famous enough"), then signing up as a featured guest, writing a curriculum, getting over phobias of speaking in public (I had those), getting used to the grueling schedule of packing, unpacking, setting up, dodging fans, signing books, posing for pictures, never getting to a bathroom because there are 2,000 people between you and the bathroom and they ALL want a hug and a selfie, carrying anything you can find to eat with you all day long, because you'll never have a free second to have a meal, dealing with crazy fans (bad fans, not good fans) which often requires police involvement and happens more often then most cons would like to admit, (a church group somehow got into one Con, and stormed into the Yaoi workshop chanting we were going to Hell, one year) ... it's a fast paced, hectic life on the road (you'll need to buy a motorhome and get used to RV lifestyle and paint your name and books covers on the side). I also appear at car shows, autism events, festivals, fairs, carnivals, pretty much anything that let's me set up a booth, you are gonna see me at.

People who think my online income is just me putting up articles on a website and doing nothing else have no clue the amount of offline face to face marketing goes into driving traffic to my site.

Without my massive offline marketing, promotions, book signings, tours, car shows, etc.... my online income would be vastly different.

When I say this is my full time career and it's A LOT of hard work that involves way more than just running a blog, THIS is what I'm talking about.

Too many people think they can slap up a blog and roll in money doing not much else, then they email me and ask me what I do that they aren't doing?

Everything. Behind the scenes of an online income is a lot more work then most people expect.

I average 3 to 5 posts a day and this is my full time income.

You can tell the fake scammy "earn money online" blogs by the fact that they post pages about 500-700 words long. They'll write a 2,000 word article and chop it into 3 pages, just to try to boost page count fast.

Google will downrank you if you have fewer than 2,000 words, as they stated in their July 2017 update, where they also stated that the 400 word rule no longer applied. They'll unindex any page 400 words or less. They give a rank boost to pages with 3k+ words. And pages with 10k+ words soar to #1 on page 1, MINUTES after being published.

And as has been proven by my own track record, readers WANT articles LONGER then 10,000 words.

My top 5 most visited articles: (links so you can see the proof for yourself)

You want to be putting out more posts total, yes, but it counts for nothing if you are just writing a 2,000 word article and cutting it in 3 small pieces. You want REAL traffic that stays for REAL reading time, you want 3 articles of 2,000 words EACH - 6,000 words total a day.

Quantity don't mean squat without the quality to go with it.

1 long form quality blog post a week is going to out rank 3 snippet form daily posts. The 3 posts a day method only works if you are maintaining high quality with your quantity.

Quantity is going to help yes, but not if you are sacrificing quality to reach that quantity.

If you are only going to write 2,000 words a day, you are better off with only 1 post that is 2,000 words long. If you can't write 3 posts of 2,000 words each a day, you shouldn't try for 3 posts a day because in the long run, Google doesn't like what it terms "snippet content", Google favours long form content.

Quantity, quantity, quantity is good, but quality is still king.

Did you notice how I'm NOT writing articles on how to earn money online, but rather I'm writing articles that are o interest to a certain group of people?

It takes a lot more to earn money online then tossing up one or two 500 word blog posts a week.

And if you start looking around SBI, you'll fast notice that SBIers are very long winded wordy people each of them writing thousands of long form pages on their sites. Just look around the forum here to see that - a lot of SBIers write long forum posts, that aren't even close to how long their site pages are.

You want to be teaching people how to earn money online, you need to be doing it, AND, you need to do the same thig I just did in this post here.... link to you OTHER website, the one that makes you the money, while you are on your 2nd website, the one teaching people who to earn money

In other words, you use your blog you already have to make money, then use the SBI site you are starting now, to teach people how you made money with your blog, linking to your blog at relevant points in order to show people your proof of making money via your blog.

Like I said, I don't know you, so I don't know your experience, but I sense from your post here that you are only just getting started and really don't know either what you are getting into or how hard you have to work for an online income.

Your are asking beginner questions and someone making enough money online to teach how to make money online doesn't ask beginner questions, because they already know how to make money online.

Starting a site to teach how to make money is a VERY advanced niche that is WAY out of the league of beginners just getting started in building websites, which is WHY so many beginners fail at making money online, because they tried to jump in with MMO as their niche, not really how insanely difficult a niche it really is, seeing how they never themselves made money online to know how difficult a niche it is.

I'm sorry, but, to, me, you sound like a beginning in both blogging and site building and I really don't think you know how difficult making online income is.

I really think you need to try for a different niche.

Maybe you do have what it takes to build a successful site on how to make money online, if you do, more power to you... but if you don't, you'll fail fast, never gain traction, and do what so many others have done: give up.

I recommend going with your passion, not your desire to earn income online. Write about your favorite hobby instead.

Me? I started out writing about my love of comic books. Now I'm not only writing for the very comics I love, but teaching others how to do it too.

Find your passion, the thing you would do every day all day long, even if it never made you a penny.... build your site on THAT thing, whatever it is, and you'll find yourself making online money way faster then you thought possible and a lot more then you'd make had you taught people how to make money online.

Well, that's my thought on it anyways.

Whatever you do, have fun with it. Enjoying the thing you do, being in love with your job, in my opinion is far better then any income that job brings you.

What do you want to become?
What did you do today to step closer to that goal?
