Writing Yaoi: Transgender, Transsexual, Transvestite, or Intersex: What Is Quaraun?

Writing Yaoi: Transgender, Transsexual, Transvestite, or Intersex: What Is Quaraun?

Since the residents of Old Orchard Beach, particularly certain gay-hating/gun-toting/white-truck driving motel owners who drive back hoes over transgender residents' houses, the cat murdering members of the town hall, and house bomb building members of the Saco Ward LDS Church, like to make a big issue out of this, to the point that they found it necessary to cut my cats' heads off and nail them to my door, because they can't stand the thought of there being a transgender author of transgender literature in their town, it appears we need to address the question at hand, seeing how they are too ignorant to know that:

  • #1: Quaraun is a fictional character.
  • #2: Quaraun is not Human.
  • #3: Quaraun is an Elf, and again is not Human.
  • #4: Transgender does NOT = transsexual. Transgender and transsexual are two completely different things.

Seeing how they are too busy prancing around town with pillow cases on their heads, building bombs to blow up houses, and putting giant white Ku Klux Klan crosses in yards, to get their heads out of their asses long enough to do any research and find out how big of a jackass fools they are making of themselves...

...and seeing how my fans have asked me to set the record straight on what exactly Quaraun is, now that the town of Old Orchard Beach has thoroughly confused every body by calling him (and me the author) a transsexual gay Elf wizard...

... let's look and see what exactly it is, that Quaraun is, shall we?

So, what is Quaraun?

So, what is Quaraun?

  • #1: Quaraun is a fictional character.

  • #2: Quaraun is not Human.

  • #3: Quaraun is a 450 year old Elf, and again is not Human.

  • #4: Quaraun is transgender but is NOT transsexual.

  • #5: Quaraun is a transvestite. Like all transvestites, he is not trying to be female and thus uses male pronouns.

  • #6: Quaraun is intersex, meaning he has fully functional male genitalia, as well as non-functioning internal female reproductive organs.

  • #7: Quaraun has a demonic, alien jelly fish from outer space living inside his brain, after she burrowed a hole in his skull to get there. Quaraun is slowly going insane, in a madness similar to mad cow disease, caused by the holes the tiny parasitic jellyfish is eating in his brain tissue. (This is based off a very real sea creature, the Naegleria fowleri, also known as the "brain-eating amoeba"that can in fact swim up your nose, attach itself to your brain, and slowly cause insanity by eating your brain tissue.) (And please keep in mind that, once again, Quaraun is a fictional character.)

  • #8: Quaraun has a smaller then average penis (which is uncircumcised) and larger then average testicles; and he prefers to wear a chastity cage to hold them up close to his body as he complains that his low hung, heavy balls get in his way when he walks. He also cites his large balls as being the reason he wears dresses, claiming pants cause too much irritation and chaffing.

  • #9: Like 1 in every 8 men on the planet, Quaraun was born with non-functioning ovaries (a result of two fetuses fused together in the womb.) (Yes, real medical fact - Google it.)

  • #10: Like 1 in every 6,000 men on the planet, Quaraun's non-functioning ovaries give off high levels of estrogen causing him to be short, small framed, having more fat and less muscle then the average man, lacking in facial hair, and having small rounded feminine breasts. (Yes, real medical fact - Google it.)

  • #11: Like 1 in every 10,000 men on the planet, Quaraun's non-functioning ovaries give off even higher levels of estrogen in monthly cycles, causing him to suffer from cramps, hot flashes, hallucinations, bloating, food cravings, depression, irritability, tiredness, increased sensitivity, mood swings, lack of arousal, becoming angry, impatient, sarcastic, anxious, tense, hostile, argumentative, unloving, frustrated, withdrawn, demanding, defensive, sad, dissatisfied, and pain, including stomach cramps, back pain, and headaches, in the same way as women do during PMS. (Yes, intersex men can suffer from PMS - this is a very real medical disorder - Google it)

And not that you know what Quaraun is, let's look at why he is not (as the residents of Old Orchard Beach so loudly proclaim) a transsexual.

What is transgender?

What is transgender?

A nonbinery person who does not conform to standard gender types.

Also called GenderQueer or Gender Neutral, they rarely use standard he/she pronouns preferring them/it/xi pronouns instead.

In some cases there are religious aspects and the belief they their spirit is one gender while their body is another. The most common of these belief systems being Twin-Spirited, where the person believes they are the spirit of one gender, who chose to be born in the opposite gender as a way to better understand the opposite gender.

Transgender includes OtherKin (sometimes refereed to as TransSpecies) who cast off both gender and humanity and live life as a genderless non-human entity (Elf, angel, dragon, etc).

Transgender also includes Furries, who are similar to, but different then OtherKin and identify as animals (wolves, fox, tigers, etc)

I am, for example transgender because I am OtherKin, which has caused, ignorant people around Old Orchard beach to spread the ill informed rumor that I am therefor a transsexual.

What is transsexual?

What is transsexual?

A transsexual is a person attempting to become a gender opposite the gender they were born with.

A transsexual women were born male and use female pronouns.

A transsexual men were born female and use male pronouns.

A transsexual may or may not opt for surgery and or hormone replacement in order to become more physically like their chosen gender.

(Though "chosen" is not an accurate word, as a transsexual often feels they are spiritually one gender, but was mistakenly born in the body of a different gender. Unlike a Twin Spirited person, a transsexual does not believe they chose the body they are in and feels their being in this body is a mistake.)

What is transvestite?

What is transvestite?

A transvestite is a person who wears clothes typically assigned to the opposite gender. A transvestite is perfect happy with the gender of their birth and has no desire to become the opposite gender, they are very simply attracted to fashion designs typically worn by the opposite gender. Transvestites do not believe that clothing has a gender and feel that women have the right to wear pants and men have the right to wear skirts.

It is important to note here that transvestites do not wear clothes of the opposite gender for any sexual or fetish reasons.

Women who wear pants but use female pronouns and are not trying to become a man are transvestites.

Men who wear dresses but use male pronouns and are not trying to become a woman are transvestites.

90% of the female population on the planet Earth is transvestite wither they openly admit to being so or not. All women who wear pants and t-shirts are transvestites because they are wearing clothen that was initially invented for use by men.

However since the 1980s transvestite women have ceased to be classified as part of the transgender community and it is now considered mainstream and normal to see transvestite women every day, with out then being called transvestites any more. Since the 1990s it is now rare for females to identify as transvestites as the stigma against women wearing pants has all but disappeared.

Contrary to the popular urban myth that there are more trans people in recent years, with women who wear pants no longer being classified as part of the transcommunity, the transcommunity is now SMALLER then it has ever been in history.

Just as many women say they wear pants because "they are more comfortable" so to do men say they wear skirts because of comfort issues.

It is common for men with larger then average testicles to take up wearing kilts, hakama, skirts, or dresses, due to the fact that standard pants are uncomfortable painful on their balls.

What is a cross-dresser?

What is a cross-dresser?

A cross dresser is similar to a transvestite, in that they wear the clothes of the opposite gender. However the difference being that a cross-dresser does so for fetish and or sexual reasons.

A male cross dresser is a man who gets sexually aroused by wearing women's clothing.

A female cross dresser is a woman who gets sexually aroused by wearing men's clothing.

Cross dressers often only wear single items, such as wearing regular man's clothen, but wearing high heels or stockings.

Often, due to the highly sexual nature of their fetishes, cross-dressers feel the need to hide their cross-dressing activities, such as a man wearing a woman's bra and or panties under his business suit, so no one knows he's wearing them.

Whereas a transvestite will say: "This dress looks good on me," a cross dresser will say: "This dress makes me feel sexy."

What is the Transgender Community?

Transgender Community:

  • encompasses all of the above, plus others not listed here.

What is intersex?

Intersex means biologically both both male and female, having both male and female reproductive organs.

There are around 30 different type of intersex, depending on which type of genitalia is external, which is internal, and how much of each is present.

Often an intersex person has the outward physical genitalia of only one gender and is not aware they are intersex until they reach puberty, when they begin showing signs of the opposite gender. (For example a male growing breasts or a female growing a beard.)

Intersex individuals are often incorrectly classified as transgender. While an intersex person MAY also identify as transgender, being intersex does not in and of itself make a person transgender.

Do all transgender people have surgery?

This section was not originally part of this page, but was added to it after a reader asked the following question:

"Do all transgender people have surgery?"

No.

Only about 3% of the transgender community ever tries to make an active attempt at becoming the gender opposite their birth gender. The ones who do this are known as "transsexuals" because they are actively attempting to transition their sexual genitalia.

Whereas a transgender person transitions only their gender identity and not their physical ability to have sex.

ONLY transsexual people have surgery.

Transgender people and transsexual people are two vastly different things.

And transsexuals only make up 3% of the transgender community. They are the extreme minority. While all transsexuals are also transgender, only 3% of transgender people are transsexual. ONLY transsexual use pronouns opposite their biological gender.

Transvestites make up more then 70% of the transgender community. They do not have surgery, nor do they use pronouns opposite of their biological gender.

Crossdressers, OtherKin, Furries, NonBinery, GenderNuetral, GenderQueers, GenderFluid, Twin Spirited, and several less common others make up the remaining 22% of the transgender community. These do not have surgery either, nor do they use pronouns opposite of their biological gender.

The answer to your question is yes, about 3% of the transgender community does have surgery. They are the same 3% who use pronouns opposite their birth, and the same 3% who are in the news media.

However, they do not represent us as a whole and the majority of the transcommunity is vastly different then how the media portraies us, simply because the media chooses to focus only on the small minority of extreme radicals within our community.

The only reason you hear more about transsexuals and rarely hear about any other type of transgender, is because the rest of us are not drama queens trying to attract media attention and prefer to live private lives.

Sadly the news media and a few very radical outspoken transsexuals has done more damage then good to the overall public opinion of the transgender community as a whole. Most of the “transsexual celebrities” you see on the news are in fact spreading a lot of misinformation and really doing nothing but pushing their own agenda to gain more spot light.

They have made it seem like everyone in the transcomunity is a cry baby attention hog like they are, when in fact the majority of us do not like the sudden spot light of attention being put on us.

Please keep in mind that there is no such thing as “transgender surgery” and that what you are referring to is actually “transsexual surgery”, and that transsexuals (people who actively try to become a different gender) are vastly different then transgender people as a whole and do not represent the bulk of us.

Some important things to consider:

Some important things to consider:

While ALL transsexuals are also transgender, only 3% of the transgender community is transsexual.

  • Transvestites make up as much as 75% of the transgender community.

  • Transsexuals are the extreme minority, making up only 3% of the transgender community.

  • Crossdressers, OtherKin, Furries, NonBinery, Twin-Spirited, GenderNuetral, GenderQueers, and several other types make up the remaining 22% of the transgender community.

Transsexuals make up less then 3% of the transgender community, however, because of their extreme radical nature of having sex reassignment surgery, they are most likely to get in the news, making it seem that there are far more transsexuals then anything else in the trans community, when in fact they are in the extreme minority and are exceptionally rare.

While Transvestites are the largest part of the transgender community (making up more then 75%), they are also the least likely to try to get in the news media spotlight, tend to be very introverted, leading very private (often secluded) lives, and thus are not often seen in public or on the news. They are also the most likely to be bullied, teased, harassed, beaten up, or murdered by other members of the LGBTQ+ community are are often more likely to be accepted by none-LGBTQ+ people then by other members of the LGBTQ+ community, with the majority of the violence against them being done by transsexuals.

Within the LGBTQ+ community, the one segment that is violently murdered most often, is transvestites. And contrary to popular urban myth, it is not straight white males who are most likely to murder transvestites. The people who murder more transvestites then any other segment of society is transsexual women (m2F).

In most cases of a transsexual murdering a transvestite, the transsexual uses as their defense "they were a transvestite; they were not a real part of the trans-community; they were fakers pretending to be something they're not; I had to eliminate them because they were giving the rest of us a bad name".

The scariest part of that is, the fact that when you consider how small of a minority male2female transsexual ares and how often m2f transsexuals murder a transvestite... that ends up giving you an alarming number of 14% of all m2f transsexual are murderers.

In most every case of a transsexual murdering a transvestite, medical testing has shown that the murder in question was taking "over the counter" hormones IN ADDITION to doctor prescribed hormones and killed in a drug induced state of being overdosed on estrogen.

Which speaks volumes for the desperate need for medical intervention in hormone replacement therapy.

It is because of this very alarming statistic that you RARELY see transvestites take part in gay pride marches and events, because a transvestite is MORE LIKELY to be brutalized by the LGBTQ+ community then the straight community.

There is almost NEVER a case of an LGBTQ+ pride event, where transvestites are welcomed with open arms as viable members of the LGBTQ+ community, and the hostility towards transvestites by the LGBTQ+ community is excessively violent, extremely hostile, and radically extreme.

While female transvestites (women who wear pants) have been accepted in society since the 1980s, male transvestites (men who wear skirts or dresses) are rarely welcomed in straight society, but they are almost NEVER welcomed in LGBTQ+ society on any levels at all.

The fact remains, the hostility by the LGBTQ+ community against transvestites, is a serious problem that transvestites have to live with every day of their lives. And while most of the rest of the LGBTQ+ community has some form of accurate media representation in movies and literature, this is not the case for transvestites, who are only ever used as butt end of jokes in comedy and erotica.

Ironically, and perhaps sadly, the ONLY time you ever see a transvestite portrayed accurately in the media, is in Yaoi, in the Sissification style Seme/Uke sub-genre, which is what the Quaraun series is, btw.
